RBP3 [SPOILERS] - Friendly Kittens (Ragnar of Maya)

I realize after thinking about it that this is still going to cost us 2 food in the long run, and that 2 food might cost us a turn towards the globe (not sure) If that's the case, can we just delay everything one turn?

By the way, I should have said this before now, but I want to say a hearty thank you to T-Hawk for all his hard work on this issue. Regardless of how this all shakes out, I really, really appreciate it.

OK, so, reloaded. We got the settler. Unfortunately, this means the city is "permanently" down two food, which will make it be a pop behind... unless we irrigate one of those grass, which I can have done in 2 turns if it is necessary. Do I need to do that? Let me know.

Short answer: No need; there's no problem. The food/growth situation will fix itself in a few turns. I'll think about this a little more and post more then. Oh, do make sure Avoid Growth is turned back off..... (grin)

It's off... now we have another problem though, and this is my fault. Swiss came to me in game asking for our sugar. I gave it to him thinking we didn't really need it, and we'd have that other one hooked up shortly... uh, problem, I just noticed HV is slated to have no happiness to spare. I guess I can see if I can get 10 turns of sugar from Kyan or, sigh, Byz, who'll probably demand a worker or a settler =/

Okay, first things first: BRILLIANT work, T-Hawk! I guess one reason to keep playing this game is that with our team continuing to do crazy things and you analyzing the looniness we discover, RB will soon know everything in the world there is to know about this game!

Second: My point about the state of the game stands. Like I said, this bug alone, we could have worked around (it would have hurt, but not come close to ruining us) ... if we had (real-life) time, which of course we don't. I'm still trying to figure out ways to make this game fun again for the Byzantiums of the world, and I'm just not sure I can. I also don't have an enormous amount of time to spend on the game, but at least knowing the time I *do* spend on it won't be *completely* wasted helps.

Third: (Because not really related to RBP3) I'm really sorry to hear about getting pneumonia over a play-at-our-own pace game we declared "Relaxed-Pace" from the start! (Eeep!) That ... I see what you mean about getting obsessed about things.

Finally: I'll post an updated spreadsheet for HV in a couple minutes. The update is easy. The reason there's no problem is that - since we didn't really have the worker turns to spam grassland farms - the plan had the city not growing on the interturn between T145 and T146. Now that turn will simply be used to "catch up" with the original growth plan. Since all the city's tiles are just food tiles anyway, it doesn't really care about the ones it's missing. After that, the city has so much food already, it's going to grow every turn anyway unless we neither draft nor whip it for at least 7 turns post-Globe.

We have another sugar that will be in our cultural borders by then (at Thundara). If no one can spare us any, I can suggest a way to hook it in time without completely killing our other cities.

Actually, it appears no one else in PAT has sugar. OR silks, which we won't have hooked up for ages. (Turn 156 is our settler for Adventure Beach), so unless we let Byz bend us over, we're going to have an unhappy citizen at HV

Please do suggest. I have not moved any workers yet
