Well, if I understand it right the alliance still needs several more turns because it can act (due to NAPs). So Locke might just produce those draftees now to carve up Locke AND get them in the process CR3 promotions to upgrade those then to Rifles.

Has Locke even mentioned wanting to kill Adlain? Because I'm kinda confused, unless he's scared of us lurkers.

I think we are reaching Game Over time now, especially as its likely that LP will have 24 turns of peaceful GA, with the possibility of 36.
The dogpile will come much too late unless LP is foolish enough to not improve his soldier count during that time - which I really don't see happening!
"You want to take my city of Troll%ng? Go ahead and try."
You may be right, LP seems to be focused on economic techs and economic civs... He may well leave his military too weak at the expense of powering ahead.
It is going to be most interesting and also to see how long and if the dog-pile can survive intact. If nothing else this is a useful tutorial for those of us who have net yet played much MP...
LP is going to get a 36 turns of GA at what is already an insane tech rate (e.g. Printing Press in 2). He's quickly going to grab Representation, Corporation, and Free Market, and almost certainly get SoL. I think he's easily going to have infantry by the time the dogpile can start.
Unfortunately, without an exact list of the techs LP has(And I dunno what he has from elsewhere =x) this cannot be exact. So I'll have to extrapolate some stuff.
Here's an estimate timetable of how fast LP can get to his technology, assuming he goes for economic techs first. Order may be suboptimal since I wasn't thinking about that. Printing Press - 1T(Beakers go up to roughly 1050. For purposes of this, I'll assume it went up to 1007, a 150 boost fron his current 857.) Constitution - 3T(161 beakers overflow) Democracy - 4T(Oxford comes in right after. Going off Parkin's estimate of 100~ beakers, I'll just add 100 straight-up to make it 1107. 485 overflow) Feudalism - 1T(591 overflow) Guilds - 1T(268 overflow) Baking - 1T(376 overflow) Economics - 2T(588 overflow) Corporation - 2T(514 overflow) Gunpowder - 1T/2T(He comes up 95 beakers short w/ 514 overflow, so he can bump up 10% temporarily to get it in 1T probably. If we assume he doesn't, since I dunno what his science would be for that turn, we'll assume 1012 beaker overflow) Replaceable Parts - 2T(652 overflow) Rifling - 3T(541 overflow) So he can get Rifling in a total of 22 turns, 21 if he pushes on Gunpowder. This assumes his science does not increase at all, of course, after Oxford. Highly unlikely, but I dunno what the theoritical numbers in, say, 10 turns will be. As for him to get to Assembly Line from Rifling, still @ 1107 beakers, assuming that he uses another Golden Age for the 36-long GA plan. Engineering(I know he has Machinery, but does anyone know about Construction?) - 1T(218 overflow) Chemistry - 2T/3T(He's short 142 beakers from getting it in 2T, so beaker increases/a temp tick up 10% might get it. As before, assuming he does not do that, 965 beaker overflow) Steam Power - 4T(817 overflow) Assembly Line - 6T(309 overflow) So he can get Assembly Line in 13-14 T after 22 turns. In other words, if he goes straight for Assembly Line after Corporation, he can get it literally right when his 36-turn Golden Age ends. This assumes he does not discovery Chemistry or Gunpowder a turn earlier. Once that happens, I don't think the war can do much to him, all he has to do is a round or two of drafting and suddenly Infantry are eating up Zerks, Rifles, Grenadiers, whatever really. And LP will definately have Rifling unless he manages to be so entirely ignorant to this that he doesn't go after it even after Corp, in which case he really deserves what he gets. Note that my math is very possibly off, quite possibly by a lot. This was done, as you can see, late at night, using just the Civilopedia for tech costs and a calculator to calculate how long everything takes. Nothing like prereqs were taken into account, I think. I doubt anybody can confirm these numbers, but eh, I tried to be helpful.
You'll definitely want pre-reqs, each one boosts your actual beakers gained by 20%, which means you could be looking at 4 or more turns saved minimum. Add cottage growth and multiplier completion, and thats another few hundred base beakers that will get put into pre-reqs.

Add cottage growth and multiplier completion, and thats another few hundred base beakers that will get put into pre-reqs. Well, if we assume that he saves 4 or more turns, then he's even better off. The attack seems pretty doomed unless LP completely forgets to be defense. Also, this reminds me, non-optional rereqs count towards the 20% boost or not? I don't THINK they do, but if it's only optional prereqs, then only Gunpowder will get a boost. If it's any, then he's getting such a huge beaker boost from that plus other stuff and he'll probably be looking at Assembly Line in 30T or less. |
