Let's finish making a perfect double-move rule first!

To my eyes, team 3 seems much more powerful than team 1 at this point. They're slightly behind in tech, but ahead in research speed, and still with another golden age to use in order to catch up. They've also got a large lead in food and production, and they've got the Kremlin (and soon the Cristo Redentor) to help out. Not to mention the huge lead in power that team 3 has right now.
Really the only way I can see team 1 winning from here is if team 3 loses their entire army taking Beijing, while team 1 picks up a whole bunch of cities for free.

Isn't this the most likely outcome if T2 doesn't win, though?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

It's also possible that team 3 could take Beijing with low losses, and then quickly conquer all of China, which would give them a huge advantage in food and population.

The big problem with double-move rules really is not about the double-move. It is really about wanting to move as late as possible which is always better than moving before. There is some diplo fallout but that it is not worth a lot as seen with LP in PB4.
In this game getting to go first is a big edge because you get to pick up a free great artist that can just be used for a GA.

Does Team 3 actually have a lead in production, with Team 1 wrapping up their industrialization? I thought Sullla's recent post indicated he had a substantial production lead? Or is Team 3 getting that many extra hammers from Kremlin-boosted whipping on a sustainable basis?
By the time the CV is stopped (assuming that it is stopped), Team 1 will finally be done with all their health buildings and will be set with Industrialism to start cranking out tanks. (Assuming they don't find other non-military things that they just have to build first, of course.) Team 3 might have enough military to resist a tank assault, but whatever is left of Team 2 and Team 4 would certainly seem to be vulnerable to a big land grab.
Part of me wants to see Team 2 pull off the CV, just for the shock value and for succeeding at a CV against human opponents. But another part of me wants to see the big Team 1 vs Team 3 showdown, to find out if Team 3 could really fight to victory after delaying Assembly Line (and everything that comes with it) as long as they have.

After reading the latest post from Lewwyn, I'm beginning to think that team 2 will pull it off. He seems to be on top of things and with a solid micro gameplan in hand

Seems like Lewwyn does indeed realize that T3 will get one last chance to attack after all cities become legendary.
Seems like the entire game now hinges on some fuzzy math
