(but sure you better have a few chariots with your HAs) Well I'd assume he'll have chopped most of his forests by the time Krill gets there....

Ain't that the truth. Realisticaly for me to get hit by a pillaging stack it'd need to get here in around 10 turns...and even then I'm not sure of hte damage it would do. In 15 I'll be able to kill it properly, in 20 it'll be a massacre, and in 25 I'll have blown past it and be raping Dreylins' land.
I currently have 6 workers, not counting the stolen worker. One settler is getting chopped out of CC already for the choke point, and another is getting built for the horses/pigs site (due in 6, city built in 11). Just need to get a defensive unit or two down to the choke point city, but against vultures archers are so crap I'm considering only geting 1 for happiness then relying on fast movers to get kills.

Flat
Chariot: 87.8
HA: 50
Hill
Chariot: 73.4
HA: 25.9
Forest
Chariot: 64
HA: 10.9
Forest/Hill
Chariot: 27.9
HA: 3.7
And of course, Chariots would have a definite edge attacking Vultures in a city, as Horse Archers have a 10% city attack penalty. Shock Horse Archers do fairly well against Spears, by the by, if you have time to build a stable or two. So I'd bring a mix of both, for sure.

Nice speaker. I should point out that I'm probably not going to be building barracks though...or is the 1 star worth it? It'll cost 1 HA to get each barracks...hmmm, possibly...stables almost certainly aren't going to get built, I just won't have the time unless I push back the attack date...but that also lets me put back the date that I double slave twice, so I can get more hammers out and research a little bit better for the few extra turns

Where are you on the tech tree? Do you have Hereditary Rule for happiness? Do you have enough population to two-pop slave? If so, you can just put overflow into a one or two-turn quecha, which will give you time to grow back and keep you happy. Then repeat. I am not sure how this would work on Normal speed, however, as I only have done it on Quick.

No hed rule.
Yeah, see just how screwed I am. I was planning on doing 2 double pop whips right at the end of the build up to get 2 quick HA and 1 chariot out of each of the 3 main cities, which isn;t to bad, considering that the cities are going to be working grasshils hills and food at size 5/6 before the slave for maximum hpt.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret about multiplayer. Mines suck. Work your food and cottages, and use slavery and hereditary rule frequently. That's the secret to multiplayer domination.

I'd love to use hed rule. I do actually agree with you that cottages are so much more important, especially in an FFA, but...
I don't have monarchy; it's turn 58 and I need to tech straight to HBR and Archery to dent Dreylin. So mines will have to do until then, and cottages while growing, 2 of which are already up and being worked. For comparison to an Quick game, this is t38. You don't get monarchy that early, unless you oracle it.
PS. go Join SANCTA in the MTDG and I'll show you the power of mines

Ah didn't realize it was only turn 38 because you have so many cities and workers. Gotta love the power of Joao.
