It's kind of tempting to move the chariots to the hill 2NW of Estonia and guard them with the two phalanxes from Pita, just for the headache factor.

Okay after thinking it over some more I recommend that you occupy that 2NW hill. The city northwest from his capital (roughly 7W of Pita) could easily be his GLH city (it's the equivalent to our super forest area) and potentially lightly defended, and if you rush west you could beat his eastern units there (would probably lose some chariots to pursuing spears though). Plus it makes more sense to keep harassing him than to take a very risky attack and potentially have your offensive fizzle out, not to mention that you'd have to build more units even if you succeeded.
I guess his naming scheme is small countries, perhaps in response to yours.

I pillaged the road nw of Estonia and guarded it with the injured Phalanx. The rest of the chariots moved to the hill along with one Phalanx from Pita and a worker.
In my core I've found a brilliant way of improving my economy: Settle more cities. After ending turn I got visibility on the offshore island. Looks like it's just one island.
I have to run.
I assume the library in Wall is for culture and specialist slots only at the moment? When do you expect to raise to slider again? Do you plan to settle the offshore any time soon?
Specialists are what his economy will be on for a bit, so definitely worth it.
Hell raise the slider when he has enough money to complete the tech without saving again. So never ![]()

Yeah I'll be using specs for teching for the overseeable future.
![]() I'll probably settle exactly one offshore city as the trade routes should pay for it - and that city will probably grab ivory in one of the central islands. I have a work boat ready to explore the outer island, it doesn't look like it can compete with the ivory though.
I have to run.
I assess the chances of stone on the offshore island at 60%. Marble at 30%.

I might be missing it, but has anyone built the Pyramids yet, and if not are you in any sort of position to try and land it? I imagine Rep-fueled scientists would be a godsend right about now.

I need stone, masonry and math to even contemplate it.

The situation at the start of turn 55:
![]() Zak killed my two units nw of Estonia (at no losses, while netting a great general), and piled a big stack onto to the tile to avoid reprisals. Suggestions for this turn? Maybe just pile everything onto the hill and pray for good weather. Road it so I can move back to Pita next turn if he moves on that, or surprise him with the general if the opportunity arises.
I have to run.
