1. We notice that someone has not played ~1-3 hours before the turn roll
2. Its just pure luck if Gaspar is around and can cover within the next 12 hours.
So, people do not start missing turns without warning despite this "solution"!
At the moment, the likelihood of me going 12 hours without being able to cover a turn is pretty much zero. That will change in a couple months, but even then, I'm generally one of the more available people around here.
But yes, someone will need to poke me and tell me that a turn needs to be played - I'm not going to start watching civstats or wahtever you're using here like a hawk for a missed turn.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Sounds almost too good
But now Gaspar hurry up! Play Q's turn, open an own lurker thread and start posting awesomeness!

That you and I will not be able to see until this game ends. On the plus side, it should take some of the bite out of any criticism received after one has already been eliminated.
For the record, I fully support this.
I am assuming that things tighten up a bit when it comes to war and Gaspar.

Yeah, some lucky ones might indeed attack a competent enemy and then find out that they have to stomp Gaspar instead!
Re another topic: What is actually the status of the lurker civ? I see that Commodore is actively logging in and Lewwyn logged now as well. Has Sullla just disappeared? And are me and Boldly getting some exciting reports of global weediness to read after we've been eliminated by Gaspar?

So, uh, already the first bit of work for Gaspar?

I'm pretty sure Sullla stopped running the lurker civ after the first few turns of the game.
I'm just doing my best out here.

Commodore can confirm, but I don't think Sullla has played a single turn.

So all I have to do is not play my turns and let Gaspar play them for me?
