I think we have to grab Agriculture next. While the border pops or lack thereof are irritating, that Corn needs to be worked for Vinland to be a valuable settlement.
As far as a dotmap - I really can't make up my mind. There's no good way to use the tiles in the north without border pops - that which make for strong cities now are not so hot later, those that make from strong settlements later will be lousy until we get border pops. There's one site to the west which is relatively near Locke that I'd really like to settle, as it is much fishy goodness and could be a strong whip city right from minute one. The problem is naturally it will piss Locke off. With plako and WK cooling hostilities, I don't know that we can be too aggressive to our Western neighbor. We can't stay peaceful too long, however. There's just not enough room for that.
I'll get some SS in the thread later tonight.

Played part of the next turn. Greenland onto a worker, scout started to reveal the black area.
Didn't move the settler yet. We could settle 1SE of the copper, so there is eventually wheat in the BFC and 2 FP's. Might be better then settling E of the copper.
Feel free to move once you've decided what is best.

I just sort of assumed we'd go S of the copper, gives us the FP right away, and we can use the Wheat for another city down the road.
SE might be a slightly better long-term city, but we need some short term strength. Even unimproved, those 3F1C tiles will be a net positive right from the start, especially considering our lack of worker techs, I assume we'll be whipping the ever-loving crap out of everything for a little while. Might as well push the Organized envelope and see how hard we can REX until our economy completely collapses. Will be fun for the lurkers when plako or Locke picks the bones of our dessicated corpses.

Ok, let's go with the S site then. I'm think I'm still trying to plan to much for a "perfect" scenario and we can't get that here.
Let's see who is first to finish the turn...

Helluland founded, started it on Barracks, but feel free to veto it. We have enough warriors imho and we'll be cranking our some axes for defense once copper is connected, so I though we could use another barracks.
BW in in 3t, then the slaving can begin!

And another turn of scouting. Getting closer to prove that the world is round!
Vinland finished a warrior, will put 1t into a Barrack (to grow to size 3) and then start a worker. Worker near Vinland roads the corn and can chop a forest afterward to speed up the 4th worker.

Picking up speed! Another turn played. BW due next turn, I suggest we change civics once the worker in Greenland is done (2T).
Scouting revealed horses near Vinland, but not in the BFC.

Wow. That horse location really sucks. Definitely would have chosen a different spot for Vinland.
On the plus side, we can definitely move back to our original location for the Gold/Cows city, which we should settle next.
We can change Civics as soon as BW is in, since we are Spiritual.
plako's Scout looks to be a move ahead of us to the west, hopefully we don't lose Circumnavigation by a turn.
Let's also slip a workboat build into Vinland's queue soon, perhaps after the worker. Worthwhile to see how far this sea goes.
Not that there's a lot of worthwhile foreign news to this point, but interesting that plako's peace deal with WK cost WK Sparta. I'm guessing gifted as part of the treaty, can't imagine if he did it with bloodshed that he would have been willing to sign peace. Sucks to be WK. Also means plako is on 4 cities already. Like to see us get the next 2 out in quick order - One to the north for Cows/Gold, one to the west for Horses. We can move the cap onto another settler after the worker is done, and one of the other cities can switch to MP when the settler is close.

Picked up the turn. BW is in, I switched us to Slavery. Research onto Agriculture, due in 8.
Moved the workers around. I think Circumnavigation is lost, sadly, because we discovered this underneath WK's city:
By the time we get around to WK's lands, if there's a land connection, plako's scout will have found it, since he's a turn ahead of us in the west:
Here's a thought at a dotmap:
Red dot is gold/cows city, and would be very nice for our GNP right now. Blue is kind of a crappy city that gets horses, but we need horses, so there it is. Purple is a city that secures a 2nd source of copper and fishes, but mostly, pisses Locke off. And Pink Dot, in true RBPB Pink Dot fashion would be an excellent city that would REALLY piss Locke off.
I love it.
Decided to run 1 turn @0% science, since the switch to slavery loses us 1 gpt. That will let us run at a normal research rate until we get Agri in, or let you talk me into Mysticism first.
