It can't take cities? Then what do I have to worry about? Except the spectre coming my way I guess

If you don't think an invisible unkillable unit that wipes out all of your units on their creation isn't a big deal... well, good luck I guess. Sounds bad to me.

Well obviously it's a big drawback, but it's not life threatening

I thought that mistform was going to destroy the capital within 5 turns or so, but turns out it can't. It will still weaken my garrison enough that any other barbarian units that get near will easily take the city though, which is the main problem. How would I even try to counter a mistform? Just continue producing warriors while teching to hunting to get a hawk or something?

Don't regular scouts see invisible units btw? Pretty sure they see great spiders anyways

There are two different types of invisibility. Giant Spiders, as well as a few other units, have animal invisibility. Any recon unit can see through it. Mistforms have true invisibility. True invisibility can only be seen through by Empyrean priests, the Empyrean shrine, the perfect sight promo on recon units(unlocked after sentry 1 and 2), floating eyes and most relevantly hawks.

I promised some pictures from the previous turn, so here they are:

Ruins of Kilmorph has been founded in Jerusalem!

Sweet. And uh yeah that was pretty much it. I sent the Thane of Kilmorph towards the capital with the plan of converting it, but I'll keep the Thane around for now, since I need every defense I can get.

So here's some news from the turn I just played. Maybe there is some beacon of hope for us after all! The mistform did not attack this turn! Not sure why... But i'm seriously hoping it won't go and attack Jerusalem. Then again if it does go there it shouldn't matter TOO much since it can't take the city anyways, and there are no nearby barbarians... The spectre is right next to the cap now:

Also... On the exact tile the spectre moved to, I saw some sort of faint smokish thing while I sent the turn on. Is it some kind of clue that the mistform was on that tile or is it just wishful thinking? Probably just wishful thinking. Hell it was just probably some graphical glitch signalling that the spectre was going to move to that tile.

Also we have copper! Just to the west of Jerusalem. You can barely see it under the flag and mana list. If we survive this we should totally put a city there. Tons of hills (mostly grassland) and a fish resource just off the coast, plus the copper and it should be another great production city.

Also I wonder if the mistform will try to attack the worker... That wouldn't be nice. I want to move the worker towards Jerusalem now to improve stuff there, since it's too dangerous around GLT. Hope it will survive its journey there though.

Oh right and I was gonna switch to religion instead of pacifism this turn but I forgot. Next turn, then!

Or should I stay at pacifism? Could try to get another religion with another great propher if i'm lucky, I would need hunting or fishing for that though. OO is probably out of the question since the Lanun will almost certainly get it first... But if we're grabbing hunting anyways for the hawk to find the mistform we might as well bulb FoL?

Thoughts?

Edit: Uh nevermind. For some reason I thought we didn't have any elves in this game, but we do, so FoL is probably out of the question as well. Maybe a shrine? Maybe not.

Hey Sciz,

I have a feeling the mistform will go after our worker...

Hopefully it is healing and won't go after him.

BTW - what happens if you try and more a unit into a tile with the mistform in it? Does it become visible? If so that might be the best way to knack the b*stard. 4 warriors should be able to take down a strength 6 unit on FP's for us... If you can spare the defense it might be worth guessing where it is and seeing if you can't spot it. Again - maybe a test for the worldbuilder is in order.

EDIT: jive for RoK!

No.

So what happens then? You attack it I guess since you cannot occupy the same tile as an enemy. Therefore you know where it is on that turn and can just keep piling warriors into it. Urgh - I wish I wasn't away from my civ computer... lol
