I blame Mack for stalling PB33, not sure GJ's excuse.
 Anyway, here's the result of my sim:  Still only 6 cities a few turns later, but Texcoco is about to 4 whip another(you can even see the pre-built road!). And of course the trade off is this:  That could be another 1-2 settlers also but I started to grow the capital instead. Some workers are in the process of improving more tiles for it. *10 workers *2 warriors *3 LBs *2 explorers *2 Libraries *Market

I had been thinking the double banana + wet rice spot would be a pretty ideal spot, as NE specialists mean you don't have to bother improving jungle and thus this useless spot turns out pretty good, but it looks like Texaco would be a better spot for it with this dotmap order. It should be able to whip it in pretty quickly once marble is online too. That said, it is a lot more vulnerable to a surprise raid coming from the NE ice tunnel.
I'm about to go on a 2 week hooliday to Aiken SC and spend time in Pensacola.
If I wasn't, I'd be down for a blitz Medi PB game over a week on this map.

Of course the biggest issue with Northstar was that he fundamentally unable to grasp that he was the one causing all the problems.Probably just eager to get the game going finally, and as Adrien says, mackoti is overdue.

Yeah, it's odd. Nicolae has been playing PB34 reliably though, so I don't think that's really the problem; my guess from the thread is that he signed up fairly casual for this game, then REM came in as dedlurker and almost started to take over, but regardless turned them a bit more serious and now he has disappeared from the thread and their conversation about the start never really got finished.
As for WK; maybe a quiet PM from BRick to remind him that he's no-longer responsible for Game Admin...? |
