What I don't get in LP's stance is that he was willing to deny himself a chance to get a hard-earned win and would be satisfied with being a winner-due-to-misclick.

"Naturally they're free to do whatever they like so I really haven't started to question their choices."
Somehow, this seems wrong to me. Shouldn't Plako at least ask and, if it's not, maybe get into a talk about it?

End of the day, he is probably exahusted trying to herd cats by now. Trying to organise a dogpile seems almost impossible

Problem with dogpiles as far as I can tell is that some players always are either underestimating the opponent (I bring 5 axes, thats surely helpful against his 20 machine guns...) or try to let others carry the weight and don't invest into the dogpile. Couple that with players not working according to plan because of sloppy play or simply being sure to know better is normally enough to let the dogpile not achieve anything even before the first shot is fired.

Quite realistic isn't it? Just imagine the real world challenges of managing a dog pile?
Iraq only "worked" because of overwhelming American technological superiority - the dog pile / alliance management was patchy...
I wrote "worked" because the full history of this is not yet defined or known, its maybe an unknown known.

Or is it a known unknown? I always get confused...

I disagree with LP's assessment of Nakor/Gaspar. It's more of a Prisoner's Dilemmia: They can either cripple themselves to take down Parkin or they can do nothing and let Parkin go uninhibited. The first gives them a very slim chance of victory(They'll need to either keep Parkin cities somehow or turn on Locke or Plako and parlay that into more land).

Kuro, true BUT if they additionally had a plan to win that would be better than simply denying LP victory as has been mooted, for example, by voting someone else a winner in AP. I think that is not a proper victory.
Having said that, I do think a couple of Civs do have plans to win if LP can be knocked back...
If they all still play like it matters the game could possibly remain interesting for a while yet. Any comments?

LP doesn't know about the AP thing, so I didn't count that in. That's basically just conceding to LP to end it faster though, IMO. Unless Plako won maybe, because arguably getting everybody to hate #1 and vote you in is a Diplomatic Victory in Civ IV.
I don't think it matters. LP will have masses of Machine Guns and Infantry upgraded from drafted Rifles. And he has economy techs to catch up. Only Rego has a chance, but he looks as if he'll foolishly throw it away(He needs to either attack a lower civ, like SleepingMoogle, or keep out of it and develope his economy better while LP and everyone else is mirred in war. Or join the coalition.)
