Yep you are both right! I left it on while I went to the store, and it eventually finished generating the map. smile

Confirmed, just got back to my computer and it had finished. Seven, it wasn't a memory constraint, my CPU core was maxed out the whole time the script was running. I don't think it's something that needs to be changed to be more efficient, as long as it works I think it's fine. Who cares if we burn a bit of extra energy chewing through extra CPU cycles? Better that than having to dig through the code to change it. But I say that as someone who abhors programming. If you see it as an interesting puzzle to solve, enjoy your work.

Yeah...one of the reasons I rebuilt my PC was it was taking 40 minutes to generate maps using Torusworld. A 4670 makes short work of it though.

.net is a problem on Linux, so I have somewhat ported MapTuner into Python with Qt.

QtMapTuner

Cool, thanks for taking an interest.

Is there a redistributable component which makes this executable for people who haven't set up python and/or Qt?

Maybe it's just you cleaning up the code but I like the look of it better in Python than in .Net. smile
I have to run.

Pack the script with Python and Qt installers and the script becomes redistributable. Sortof. crazyeye

Windows alpha04 version
Dlls here
Added edit history, edit context menu. The program should use less memory and work faster now.

I tried running the program (using the version with the DLLs), but I get this error:

Any ideas?
