Pitboss 20 signup/setup thread (Tides of War game organization)

Here are the Map Generation Settings:

• 44% seas, Inland Ocean
  
• 100 tiles wide by 36 tiles tall
  
• 1 random improvement per 20 tiles

I have searched the sign up thread and haven't found a difficulty setting mentioned, however I made this map with the medium maintnence setting enabled, so the costs are as if it were a cylindrical map. With that in mind, I've taken the liberty to set the difficulty to Monarch. Below are the game settings:

• Pitboss, normal speed.

• No Tech Trading

Aw geez... I was hoping to get later in the draft.

I don't want to delay the game any, but can I at least wait until tonight to make my pick? My start has me quite stumped as for my leader pick, and I'd like to think about it a bit. Unfortunately, I wasted a bit of my morning on writing some posts and now I actually have to do work throughout the afternoon!

The game went from finished sign ups to picks in less than 20 hours. I don't think taking time on choices is a bad thing, this coming from a lurker. I only did the map so fast because there was a slot in my schedule, normally there would be more time before starting screenshots and picks occurring.

Definitely take your time,I'm sure no one wants to mess up their start just because we are in a rush to get the game started.

There's a good chance all the other peeps behind you need time to think too and this game has gotten started pretty blazingly fast, so feel free to take your time picking.

If there are any lurkers out there that have not been too spoiled by the other threads and wouldn't mind offering some opinions on possible good leaders/civs for me to think about picking for my start, it would be appreciated. Even if it's just a list of some of the good ones that might work well with my start and then I choose from there, even if randomly. Basically need help narrowing down the list. Otherwise I may just randomly pick from whatever is left when my turn comes around. LOL
