I actually had to catch myself from responding to Taotao's request for lurker feedback on his tier list. Here's what I had typed up before I had realized a certain something...

I won't say who I think you're over-rating, but these three are definitely way underrated, both the comobs and the players:

6.) Serdoa + NH + Gaspar (he's the guy who logs in with crazy names, by the way) as Wang Kong of England
11.) Ichabod + Retep as Napolean of Greece
15.) REM as Julius of Russia
16.) Borsche as Hannibal of Vikings

Three of those four are his NEIGHBORS!

Can't shake the feeling that Nyles seems familiar to me. I hope I'm wrong. Anyone else thinking he's possibly a sockpuppet?

Both the posting style and the user name point to a DL. First glance he looks a bit like Sullla, but I'm going to go out on a limb and call Seven Spirits out for this DL.

I was definitely thinking we should go for Poly in the second city. We would probably get Med for sure right now but we'd have to either build a monument in the second city or hope for a spread, neither of which is particularly appealing. I don't think we'll be struggling for a religion long term that much that we need to give up our shot at the second city border pop to get it.

I think going for Poly in the second city is the better idea. If we fail we can get Mono reasonably soon without a big cost because we'll want Masonry anyway. I'm in favor of continuing with AH and then going onto BW as planned.

What are they talking about? Poly? Med? Have not the religions been founded already?

Nyles's posts seem to have the tone where he knows everything and is explaining down to the reader. I have a hard time seeing that coming from someone who is just learning multiplayer play, and it's also the kind of tone Sullla (and few others) write with. But I don't think Sullla would smurf a game here anymore - when he did it, it was still sort of ambiguously tolerated. The general consensus that it is scummy came after.
