WW48: Melllvar's Grand Competition!

Okay, I want to finish up on my exchanges with novice, Commodore, and Gaspar for now and move on.

I asked novice about his vote tally post and his non-mention of his vote for Gaspar making a small wagon, and he's responded to my questions and explained his Gaspar vote as bandwagoning for the sake of bandwagoning. I feel this exchange is resolved. Some people think novice's original tally post was scummy but I don't feel anything in my exchange with novice makes him more scummy than he already was given that post.

I asked Commodore to give more justification for voting for Meiz for low-content despite others also having low content. Here's the original Commodore vote post and his response to me. Forgive me for multiple quotes, they're all short smile

There's some differences between these explanations but given they're one-line posts it's not realistic for Commodore to provide every possible explanation or qualification. I still think that the justification for the original vote itself (versus why he picked Meiz versus other low-contenters) is a stretch, but I generally feel this exchange is resolved and again Commodore isn't more scummy than he was after his vote, even if he's more scummy to me than baseline.

Finally I asked Gaspar basically the same question. Unlike Commodore (Meiz vote) and novice (Gaspar vote) he did not point to a desire to consciously bandwagon to drive discussion but rather doubled down on the vote being justified in and of itself:

Based entirely on the uninquisitiveness Day 1. So here's my response to Gaspar and where things currently sit:

For you that's Meiz's contributions relative to baseline - him "not being an awesome villager." So when specifically was he supposed to start taking the game seriously? What damning post was his scum-dar ignoring? Because it sure didn't seem like your scumdar was doing much of anything until you voted Meiz. Was he supposed to vote for himself?

I'm not trying to tunnel here. I'd sincerely like an answer to this. If Gaspar can look at where the state of the game was when Meiz made his four posts and point out a specific opportunity "awesome villager" Meiz passed up then I'll consider this settled. But what it looks like to me is a wolf-Gaspar picked someone with lots of posts and who was getting a little heat and piled on without taking the time to read closely enough to know whether there was any actual substance for Meiz or anyone else to scum-hunt on when the vote was put out there. Because why does Gaspar need to read those posts closely...he already knows who the wolves are smile

Yes, exactly this. I find all three of the people attacking Meiz for substantive reasons suspicious given the timing. That has nothing to do with earlier joke/flavor votes or vote totals.

Alhambram, Bob, Gold, can we get some more contributions please? smile Points of RPing and humor but there's stuff to discuss now. Gold in particular isn't even putting high quantity effort into to RPing - you've posted a total of 128 words so far dude...

Most of all Lewwyn, what the heck man?! You spent early WW46 asking every player about every possible action they made or could of made as part of some grandmaster scum hunting strategy which even after the game I can only half make sense of. The disparity in activity and scumhunting leadership is striking here.

@tin-man( Kaiser) and Ron the Mustache: Jabbz has now posted a bit more and even voted twice ! do you still think he needs pressuring or are you satisfied or do you believe he is scum?

My contribution was partly role play and partly true life catching up with me. I had to overwork two days in row and my friends asked me to drink together 2 days in row and I couldn't say no.
My vote for sunrise and you were purely for role play reasons and now I cast honest vote for my 1st day: no lynch because due my busy life I don't have time to properly read other's posts.
I already said in sign up thread that it might my mistake to sign in. I finally shall have time properly read other's posts and respond them at weekend. Now I am going to bed, very tired and need to get up tomorrow early again.

I do remember the wolf game from GES where he constantly claimed to have no time he even went so far to ask in his civ-games to not report any diplo with him so that his "time-strained- excuse " is more believable and faked a drunken post calling Ichabod Ochabid etc Wolves won that one thanks to him. So I absolutely agree if he keeps this low-profile he should be lynched.

<Sunrise, it feels really strange to be voting with you on Gaspar for completely different reasons. By the specious standards of early Day 1 his Meiz vote actually makes sense to me (basically, "I expect more from you, dude"), but his Novice reaction and vote seemed very scumish drama-for-drama's sake. What do you think about that interaction?>

I was coming to these conclusions and was going through the posts by those very same people to make a better vote before shutting down my computer. Jabbz participated, and there doesn't seem to be any reason to go against him right now. Out of those who aren't participating much, Gold and Lewwyn are the most interesting currently, both being frustratingly low on content. I'll vote for Gold Ergo Sum for now, but hoping for more content from both which would allow me to move onto other potential targets (like those who jumped on novice for excruciatingly bad reasons).

If someone want Omar to not be Omar, ain't gonna happen. Omar know who he is. He comfortable in his skin.

Oh, Omar be a wolf. And he will huff and puff and blow that bamboo shack you live in down old man if need be, but Omar no villain. Man got to have a code.

Omar watchin'. Omar sees. But Omar see no reason to change his vote from the junkie he already got his sights on. Lewwyn behavior is odd, indeed. Even tho I ain't had the pleasure in years, Omar remember him. Loud. Talk a lot. Now just a bunch of large pictures of a cartoon fox. Omar suspicious. But Omar know a target when he sees one, and the talking dog seems to have surprising wisdom in his words.

I've settled into it and I'm not as strung out now. Not as hyper. But WW46 standard isn't my actual baseline. But its fair to question me on it for sure. All I can say is that you'll have to judge me based on what I post, I'm not lurking I'm just posting more reasonably, but in WW46 I had 60 some posts on day 1 hahaha I don't think I've ever been that prolific before and I won't be again.
