Spoilers - Lurker Discussion Thread (No Players)

Well, it looks like the other players are finally doing the smart thing and teaming up against Sandover. I'm still not sure why Sandover didn't stick to his original plan: keep Twinkletoes as a weak, buffer-zone ally to the east, and then attack and destroy Bob. The timing of that would have been really easy, just wait until the Khmer war ended with both sides mutually exhausted and then hit with everyone all at once. While Sandover's messages are awesome and fun to read, his constant bullying and swapping of sides has really put him in a corner. Should be fun to watch this play out, especially with scooter planning to half-ass this war and build himself up while everyone else wears down Sandover.

For all that everyone crucified our diplomacy in the Pitboss #2 game, we avoided openly antagonizing our few friends, and we successfully avoided a second dogpile attack. So either playing from a position of strength is harder than most people realize, or people should have given India a little more credit diplomatically. :neenerneelol

Sooo, scooter is pulling an Athlete? shhh

That might work out for him, unless, of course, his lack of participation causes the whole operation to fail.

If the other countries notice he's doing way too little in the war they may attack him after Sandover

I'm not sure I get the reference? Wouldn't pulling a Nakor be more appropriate?

Interesting "emergency bomb" by Sandover. Chillingworth may actually hold - that would be a bloody nose for Timmy.
I have to run.

Hmm, maybe, but I was pretty sure that, in PB2, Athlete/Kalin committed relatively small numbers of troops to the big dogpile. *shrugs*

I don't have the spare time to run sims, but the city could very well hold. There's a lot of Horse Archers, but their odds are going to be pretty terrible. Well, next round of updates should be exciting!

Betting time.

I think it will hold, after Timmy throws away 5 HA then calls off the attack, not doing enough damage, or he pushes through and the city holds with 3 surviving units.

Sandover Wrote:German Casualties in the Battle of Germany:
12 Longbowmen
8 Spearmen
8 Horse Archers
15 Catapults
Total: 43 units.

I wonder what TT will say once he gets the save back.

Wow.

Congratulations, Sandover.

I think it's fair to say that he's going to be victorious unless someone's got a sneaky peaceful win planned. And I'm not sure they can pull it off in time.

You called it, Cyneheard.

scooter Wrote:We might be ending this one. Bob sent out an email suggested we concede. SleepingMoogle agreed, Twinkletoes is on permanent OCC, and Timmy wants a replacement. Very high probability that we will concede this to Sandover.

I find it amusing that Sandover considers his most recent message to Moogle as "friendly." I guess it's friendly in that he decided not to threaten Moogle with outright destruction. lol

But it looks like he has this in the bag. frown I was hoping the others would be able to put up a better fight.
