However, what irks me about his play right now is that he really should start selling stuff to Illos and Serdoa (etc.) - e.g. offer a 10t loan of Enchantment mana to Illos for 70 gold (Ench I must be useful with the war on), or even offer a Golden Hammer for gold. Then use the gold to research festivals at 100% and actually start having an economy. Drudging like now is only a recipe for a mercy killing by Mist, and even though selling may help the leader surviving has to take priority.
Ah, but you can't trade gold in FFH until you research Currency, which (unlike in BtS) isn't really an early game tech. Currency is halfway down the economy tech branch and requires both Code of Laws and Mathematics. With all the warring expected in this game, some players might well be eliminated before Currency is researched. Worse, Sciz can't even trade his resources for workers because of the FFH ban on gifting units. To be honest, I can't see any way for the others to help Sciz rebuild, even if they wanted to.

Mr. Yellow Wrote:Why the sea when you can drop it on a peak?
Would be pretty hilarious if the Griffon dropped Barnaxus on one of the peaks next to Cotton Valley.
I said sea because I have seen several seas surounded by peak/ice tiles and I assumed the dwarfs had a mountian walking unit.

I forgot that this is the Lakes mapscript and that there's very little large areas of water that nobody would ever go out to. There probably isn't any place where it would be unexpected that boats would ever venture to, unlike a Pangaea map. So yeah, the spider looks like the best bet.

Ilios gets all of his units around Loki. Loki is standing on a tile with Uberfish' hunter. Serdoa declares on Uberfish and teleports Loki to the nearest tile to his city closest Loki. Which is right next to his front city with Ilios.
Man that'd be annoying for Ilios.
Brilliant! I don't think Serdoa will think of it though. And I don't think he's seen uberfish's hunter yet.
Although actually, wouldn't he only get teleported to the nearest free neutral tile? If he does it when he's surrounded by Ilios and while on uberfish's hunter, he could teleport past Ilios's blockade, but he'd still be on the peninsula most likely.
Either way, it makes sense for Ilios to keep Loki alive as long as possible, to draw 3-4 units away from the border.

It is possible to trade for workers. Sciz would declare war on the other person, and attack and capture the workers. That's why Serdoa demanded two workers in exchange for not razing Thordin, and why the Calabim can trade him two workers for a settler.

Wait isn't the spider visible and can be attacked by the warriors so sciz should be able to get his corpse back.
Spider are only invisble on forests right or am I geting confused again.

Spiders are always invisible unless you have a unit that can see them nearby (like a hunter). Or if the spider is in a city, at least I think so.

That road looks like it's going to the NE towards the green spot to me. Acaia is the city building the settler, and the one from Serdoa would be planted in the northernmost spot, and then gifted over. I imagine after they get some garrison units, they'd be in position to build up an army to attack the barbarian city; but the war with Ilios may be over by the time a new army gets raised.
I expect uberfish will make a move on the barbarian city once he sees the northern city next to the sheep get settled, since he's expressed his belief that the border there should be split. He'd likely try diplomacy first, with a direct attack on the barbarian city as backup/followup.

Best thing to do would be to drop them over some sea-based ice tile; this will prevent both the boats and the druids from reaching it.
On the other hand, keeping it around on a spider, somewhere deep within uberfish's territory (to avoid accidental scouting with a hawk) is the best bet, as far as flexibility goes. After all, he can use it as leverage later.

I like the idea Mr Yellow had of leaving them on a mountain near cotton valley. Ok Sciz may one day get them back but he would need a flying unit and they aren't that common are they?
Or uber fish should drop them with him spider near Sciz's borders for a turn, only to pick them up when his units approach. That would really fuck with him!
