Pictures and stuff.
I wonder how long Dreylin's two border cities will be defended by just Warriors. But, really, he surely has other defenders nearby. I've no way to hit either of them by surprise. I wonder if that Axe he has in the woods is scouting, heading home to defend, or is going to prod at my borders. I should be able to take care of it one way or another. I hope.
Tech... After Maths is done, I should probably limp to currency. I'd love to pick up HBR since I'll have Horses by then, but I estimate my taxes will already be at 80%, and I don't see my financial situation getting better as I add more and more units. I still don't really have a great plan, but I think it's going to be something like this:
1) Capture/Raze as many cities as possible in the first few turns of war.
2) Consolidate and rebuild.
3) Send dozens of their units to their deaths to capture 1 city.
4) Repeat steps 2-3.

Wow, Dreylin just settled ANOTHER city? Maybe I should just attack as soon as I have half a dozen units. If he's investing this much in Settlers (and presumably Workers) then if I attack sooner rather than later, he shouldn't have had as much time to build units for defense. Hopefully.

I was going to send a message to Grimace that says "Don't settle closer to me" but that's not listed in the list of accepted messages. I could have sworn we all agreed to that, and Dreylin had sent me a "ho ho ho, I have an axe" message, which I also recalled us agreeing to, but that wasn't in the list on the 1st page of the tech thread. Hmm....
Sent nothing for now, but I'll probably send it next turn unless a lurker can tell me that's definitely against the rules.

So far none of my neighbors are letting me get a big power lead, and Grimace has a rather high Production rate if the graphs don't lie. I do have a pretty good Crop lead, and if my sims are anything to go by, I'll be turning that into a good Production value over the next 10 turns. My land value isn't very good, and a couple people have Size 8 cities (so either 3 luxuries, or a religion). My Charismatic bonus may not let me grow as relatively tall as I'd have liked, but in the sims I've been trying to abuse the extra 2 happy to whip my less gifted cities as often as possible.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Not on the list.

Ho Ho Ho I have an axe is an ordinary diplomatic message that is available to give in an SP game by an AI, ergo it is legal here.

OK, I mean, I didn't have a problem with that. What I had been looking for was the "don't settle more cities near me" message (from civ5) because I recall it being proposed (along with the ho ho ho message) but it didn't end up on the list. I guess I could write "ho ho ho, I have a settler" though I don't think that would send quite the same message.
