I would ask any villagers to really really think about it. You don't do your town anything good if you continue this path.
Apart from the scum-hunting that was done (zak) of course. This day wasn't actually about you Rowain, if you hadn't made it about you.
Also, care to elaborate why this path (you mean going after you?) isn't doing anything good for town? Or is it just another hint without substance? We had quiet a few of those from you today.

@Serdoa, Gazglum
Just assume that everything I have said was the truth.
Then reread and tell me what you learn by lynching me. Tell where is the benefit of town to lynch me. I hoped with my instant claim to make this day not about me. But you and Gazglum have brought my name up constantly.
Accept that I'm a third party and start hunting for scum. You won't find it in my person.

This, together with the yesterday's "not much has happened" is just rotten. First of all, plenty of posts have been written about things other than Rowain, secondly, none of those discussions featured your input. Not only did you not create new discussion points, you did not even engage with the ones that were there, pretending they don't exist.
The biggest reason for relatively shallow scum-hunting is that three players are pretty disengaged — Goreripper, Brick and Adrien; and two more are only weakly engaged: you and zak. Incidentally, only people from this group of five have votes on novice.
I also really don't like Rowain pretending to misunderstand what Gazglum wanted from him in terms of a vote on Serdoa.
Adrien is already feeling the heat with three votes, so, for now, Rowain.
In other news,
Code Blocking and Code Redirection are paired
Hackproof and Anchored are paired
Jettison Interruption and Weighted Voting are paired
Lockdown and Repositioning are paired

I think Rowain is believable. He may be lying about some details but I think he's third party. His VC might be antitown (by him being removed from the game if nothing else) but I do believe he'll favour town all things being equal.
That still makes him a decent default lynch, but I'd rather play more boldly and lynch someone who hasn't claimed third party.
I have to run.

And he picked ones that seemed very towny, which a scum might do, but he somehow managed to correctly pick pairings that match what other people apparently have?
They look neutral to me. Two pairs of abilities where one of them is useful to scum and the other is useful to town. Seems like a plausible set of abilities for scum, too. And like you say, he would be a very well-endowed townie if that's his alignment. Just because he's claiming to be a supertownie, does not mean his claim is towny.
That said, I'm thinking of switching to AdrienIer or Brick for lurking.
Though there is no doubt that more details from Rowain would help town. So if he really wants to be pro-town, he should tell us more.
If you know what I mean.

At least till we get some of that information you hide.
@zak: I still believe you are more likely scum than town. But I'd rather lose this game than make you feel bad for signing up. I'd like to ask for one explanation. You wrote:
"And at that point I still hadn't looked at the player list, because I was surprised to discover that he was in the game."
The he seems to refer to me, taking the context of the whole post. Why was it so surprising to discover that I'm in the game?
It's been a while since you played. (Hasn't it?) And I had not noticed that you signed up. So I was surprised to see you again. It was not "so surprising" though, if you know what I mean.

Townies will want to lynch 3rd parties even if its in their best interest not to. Scum will want to keep them alive, but as a fallback lynch option, IE don't vote for them, but cast aspersions while they try to lynch a pure townie.

Reading town on Gazglum, Lewwyn and Serdoa. Town lean, but less certain, on Zak and Bacchus. That just leaves the low contributors Goreripper, Adrien and Brick. I liked what little Goreripper posted. Brick is disengaged he says but started the game in his usual manner nonetheless, with a meme and participating in setup discussions. Adrien is just missing and opposed a mass claim.
So I'm not sure who to lynch, but I'm inclined to just stay on Brick for consistency.
Previewing: Lewwyn, unlike others I have cast no aspersions on Rowain.
I have to run.

Sorry guys this weekend is far busier than I expected it to be. I agree with novice that Rowain is probably third party, even if he isn't actually pro-town. As Lewwyn points out it doesn't mean novice is town.
Gazglum is tunneling a bit, which is not unusual (and he has a history of misjudging Rowain). I didn't like BRick's start but he disappeared. Goreripper is full of irony :
