For the future though, always feel free to login and press enter, if you think we are holding up the game and there aren't major decisions to be made. And if there are, you can just post them here.

Pfff, you know that silk-floods-cow spot south of William that shares his river corn? Has river gold, too.

No, seriously, I can't look at this without tears:

Retep built a Warrior a few turns back, BTW, so our capitalwards expedition would have been for naught regardless.

We get Bronze Working next turn (this evening), but I will be at a party straight after work, so CH — feel free to move the scouts and post an update on the metals location.

Am I supposed to be moving the scouts anywhere specific, or is "away from barbs and hopefully uncovering new territory" the only goal?

It's 2:25 and I am in no condition to take the turn, but I logged in to have a look around. And moved the scouts to obvious places (forest hill for the southron, and onto a flat tile, revealing no enemies in the vicinity for the northern one). Techs should be set to Hunting for the pigs? Or the wheel for trade routes? CH, pick whatever you think is best. As our workers will be chopping before pasturing I don't think it matters that much, but do count up. Scout with the 1 move point left up to your discretion too. Want to risk him? Fine. I probably wouldn't, though.
EDIT: Oh yeah, copper placement sucks, but we have it. Sort of.

I just saw this (right before I'm going to bed), so I don't think I'll do the turn now (especially since other people will still probably have to take their turns when you would normally play in a couple hours)--good to know we have copper though

We are playing along, nothing much is happening. Scouts are scouting, worker is farming, capital is building the settler.
I am playing around in the sandbox, and am tempted with this slightly insane plan: grow Forever Machine to 2 off the pig, whilst workers chop two forests into a worker, whip the worker in line with the second chop, get something like 16+20*1.35+30*1.35 = 110 hammers, of which 50 would overflow into a settler, but in fact less as they will be scaled back down to base hammers, giving 37+, depending on how food (which doesn't get multiplied in the first place) scales. With 37 overflow we can build a settler off the pig in 7 turns (1 hammer short of 6 turns).
The point in the above is that we free up the capital to grow to 4, rather than build our third worker, and it can then double-whip a settler for a much earlier fourth city, the double-cow.
