Mardoc, beautiful map. I'll always enjoy exploration throwing up unexpected delights such as this:
I don't see how we can settle for the dry corn inner ring. I think we need to settle for it outer ring, and improve it once the capital culture expands eot50. Due to this, we need a new location for the third city location (it could be the fourth city location with minimal issues IMO). The only city locations that make any kind of sense to me (and I'm not saying they are reasonable) are SW-W of the corn to work capital cottages, farm the corn and fp, and pick up the hills (potentially working 4 unique plains cottages for the luls) or the row of desert tiles E-NE, E-E and E-SE (latter is coastal) which have significant amount of fog.

Check for seafood before making any judgement on city location. It could still have corn outer ring and seafood 1st ring for instance, and make for a very good 4th/5th (seeing as corn can be improved before settling). It'd be good even with seafood in 2nd ring.

Scout south or scout north though we can still send the warrior SE and send the scout to check the coast.
I don't like the his idea though.

Well, new factors to consider:
The scout can't move N-NE without moving adjacent to a lion, so that is out. 2N would be legal, to see if moving to the plains hill is safe next turn. This is probably the better move compared to just using the warrior to move to the plains hill: it's not like the warrior is any safer against the lion than the scout, and we need the warrior more, and the warrior can't check if the hill is safe next turn.
I'd put a few quid on the south ending in coast a few tiles below where the FoW starts, and even if it didn't I don't see it as worth scouting that much. I could be persuaded otherwise though. The problem is we need to identify a good third city location that has inner ring food (seafood is second class, camp resources are unacceptable, farm or pasture resources first choice). The only way I see us doing this is sending the scout north and the warrior NE. Finding good fourth and fifth cities is important but we meet those needs by scouting all the tiles within a 6 tile radius of the capital, and that is just what we do by still moving everything north. Agreed?

I'll do a world map next turn, but I'm thinking that we need the second city and capital to hit 100 culture to pop borders to claim their respective corn tiles for other cities. The short of it is that we have several areas on the map that don't have food resources unless the cities pick up the corn second ring. That's another plus to going Oracle.

Random thought: should we go for Henge after settler1? We are undercapacity on worker turns and settlers don't have great locations near for third cities, and we are going to struggle to pop borders in quite a few cities.

Good job we sent the scout north.
If the scout had not moved onto the hill, I would have moved the warrior onto the hill and run straight into that bear. Would have been an ignominious end to the first military unit of the game. As it is, next turn we can see if moving the scout 2E or E-NE are safe moves.
Old Harry slaved a pop. He has had 4 score increases, one of which is due to land points (last turn), 2 tech increases and one pop increase. So he grew to size 2 and slaved. Looks like he must have gone BW first, because the first tech was after 15 turns. He could have delayed the first tech to hide what he was doing, but he can't have made 40 commerce more than us in 20 turns without using seafood and he doesn't start with Fishing. Which is interesting, I think he has gone worker first, grown to size 2, whipped a settler and plans to chop a work boat at city 2, because why else do you tech Fishing this early? I don't think he could even have taken Myst with a run to Religion this fast, so Fishing is the only other available tech that fits.
