Plako's declaration of war feels like the right move, especially given warlordDr's aggressive silence implies an always war stance. I do think that plako's casus belli is a bit laughable given that plako's warrior has moved 6+ turns along warlord's border (if you were afraid of being choked, what would you do with your warriors?).

I sent the following message to WarlordDr, so hopefully everything goes smoothly with the timer split.
Quote:Due to the war declaration, you now have the second half of the turn-timer. Please play your turn after 12 hours have passed in the turn. During the first half of the turn, you may not take any in-game actions.

Don't worry, I read it before I made that post, I was just hoping I hadn't done anything goofy.
Speaking of goofiness, has Krill explained why he placed that ocean crab in a way that Regoarr/Sunrise settling in place would have killed it?

Woah, didn't go to the last page before posting. How common are low-provocation chokes in diplo-capable games? Also, I now suspect that half the reason Krill gave everyone 6-yield +75% defense tiles was so everyone had the same choke vulnerability, and no economically reasonable way to go down to +25% defense.

I've done it in PB1 (t40ish), starting warrior rushed in PB3, PBEM2 did it (Ruff), Mortius died to a starting warrior in PPB2. Common enough that you play defensive.
However, in this case WarlordDr deserves the choke. Not even answering hello emails is just plain stupid if the other guy has a warrior next to your capital.
However, that isn't the reason I built hte capitals how I did...but I'm not sure on how these rules work, is it possible for Plako to get the warrior to the deer tile before WarlordDr can?

Ah good point, Plako moved onto the hill, Warlord will move onto the plains forest deer hill, and can get to the city before Plako can cap it. Warlords can get 8hpt, meaning a warrior every 2 turns. If he was working on a worker/settler just then, that means it will take 2 turns minimum to pop out a warrior. Otherwise, another could pop out next turn.
I'm not an MP guy, but here are options I can see Plako doing...
1) Move 1E, 1NE and 1N to choke the deer forest. The problem is that by the time Plako gets there, a new warrior will have been built, letting his old one protect his 5F1P powertile.
2) Move 1N to threaten the capital. If Warlords has a warrior popping out in 2t, that forces Warlords can either...
(a) Head back to base. That leaves the PHF deer exposed for choking, which is going to be +75% defense from all directions.
(b) Take out the warrior on 50% odds. If it fails, thats an instalose. If a warrior can indeed pop next turn, then Plako's efforts are probably wasted, but it's going to take him a dozen turns to even get close to counterchoking.
Since Warlords doesn't seem as emotionally invested in the game as others (he doesn't even have his own thread!), I can see him taking the 50% odds then gg'ing out. Shame that will boost Plako to #1, having 2 capitals means double the production!

Greece can build a 2 turn warrior, but he may have 1 turn invested already. Either he does or he doesn't. If he completes a warrior eot, then Plako can't get to the deer. Greece moves the northern warrior 9 then 9 to cover the city. If hte warrior completes eot, move that new warrior 6 to cover the deer. If it competes in 2 turns I think Plako, because he has the first part of the turn, can move to the deer before Greece can move their warrior to the deer.
Either way though, one deer can get choked IIUC. Which deer should you choke? I'd probably give up the plains hill
