Roads are never useless, they let you run away more quickly.

darrell hates building roads because he expects them to backfire when his territory gets conquered. wink

Maybe it was a mistake. I think I'll whip a Worker at the capital ASAP, and overflow into a Settler, then switch to a Warrior.

Well your capital is working an unimproved tile, and will lose another as soon as you found your second city. This is rbmod, only starting scouts, and there seems to be a lot of room between capitals, so I don't think it would have been disastrous if you grabbed copper with your third city. And you'll need Animal Husbandry to improve the Fur anyhow, so you'll be able to grab Horses instead.

Why stay around getting conquered (or worse being insulted by a French ke-nig-it) when you can RUN AWAY!

If Terry Pratchett has taught me one thing, there are many causes you can die for, but only one important enough to run away for.

lol. Good stuff, I'll try not to let everyone down wink.

In other news I put one turn in a road I'll never complete, and then put 1t in a road on the Pig.

My Scout finally healed and is...scouting.

Oh, and so far my favorite mod change is swapping Pastures and Camps. That was really clever.

I moved the city 1 south to get Copper in the first ring. Plan is to whip the second Worker ASAP.

She's all yours until May 3rd Ichabod, have fun smile.

Oh and as to the tech path there is a compelling case for AH before Agriculture, so we can improve the Furs. I would probably do that with the Copper giving our Worker something to do and having to wait for a border pop anyways.. I would go AH - Agriculture - > Pottery, but really I'll be back in time for the second tech choice. I was going to grow our second city to size 2 putting hammers into a Warrior, swap to a Monument the turn before growing, and then whip it. With the Copper tile though, I would not whip until size 3, especially if you go AH before Agriculture. Might be reasonable to slow build the Monument from the get go.

After whipping the Worker at RealMadrid I would probably build a second Warrior and defog our next city site. I'd chop hammers into a Settler while waiting for AH to complete (so grow with hammers going into a Warrior, swap to a Settle every time a chop comes in). It would be nice to whip a third Worker again at size 4 before the Settler is chopped out.

The dotmap is really sub-optimal, but we won't have to tweak it before I'm back. Also the above is what I'd do, but when you play the turns, you should do what you'd do smile.

What the hell people, I forget to visit for a few days and we're now on the second page!

We could have at least posted a few pictures of nice women or something.
