[SPOILERS] Turning in the widening gyre: Thoth has another go at BTS

I'm figuring on annexing some of dtay's cities.

Not sure if I'll keep or burn the Mids. They're mad handy as a Spi leader. OTOH, torching the Mids is always hoots of fun.

The only thing more fun is razing holy cities. Does he have any of those? I love the -5 in relations from doing that. hammer

I don't think dtay has any holy cities. None near where I can get at them anyway.

We'll see how the next few turns unfold. If it looks like I might be in for a slog I'll likely hold off for a few turns. Commodore is ~7 turns from Knigs so I may want to wait and see where he decides to point them before starting anything festive of my own. wink

Commodore has agreed to Open Borders. He asked for Ivory as a separate deal. I'm not sure if there is a hidden message there or not.
It looks like Commodore is going to be doing some annexing of his own. He's got a fleet of 5 galleys within strike range of one of dtay's Western cities and he's got Guilds and is about to have Engineering. dtay has some Ivory ~1/2 way between Commodore and I, so Commodore may be suggesting a land split. Or he could be looking for a fee to allow me to run some troops through his territory. Or he could just be looking for a handout.

In any event, I re-offered Ivory for free.

dtay is stacking catapults and HAs near his capital and has been fortifying LBs in his capital and GLH cities for a couple of turns now.
I've been generating some extra cash by pillaging around dtay's capital and on his northern fringes.

Odd. I got the option to raze the Mids on the second time I captured the city. :dunno:

Commodore joined the party with a shitton of knigs and prats.

Fun times. smile

Any update?

Also, there is grumbling in other threads about peace time turn splits slowing down the game. With all the wars going on it would quicken the pace if that isn't happening.

And on a final note....Tomorrow is 30 days on our PB13 bet. Feel free to leave the eagle eyes though, they're scary. smile
