[SPOILERS]Boudica of Rome and Gawdzak ask: "Raise your what?"

Turn 230

How to say "Happy New Year" in German:

Poor Grimace, at least it means the tanks are headed the other way.

Wetbandit is down to two cities, he will last 1 more turn maximum.

The former Indian empire New Russia:

The Roman share of Indian spoils:

I got 10 cities from the war. Mack got 2 cities and rest will go to Seven (probably ~15 cities in total).

Sometimes I feel like I've built too many units, but I like building unit and I can't help myself. Unit cost gets pretty high:

You beating me to Rotations effectively curbed my land expansion for the entire game, aside from a badly prosecuted war against retep for that island. That city was hugely important for you and would have been incredibly difficult for me to attack. Even if I captured it, that tiny land bridge would give you plenty of time to regroup protect from other attacks.

GGWP

Edit: Sorry for the 4% frig > ironclad, seemed like a fun way to go out and I guess you did start the war. lol

Yea, that was an important spot for me to have, otherwise once Astro comes in, you would have been able to threaten a half dozen of my cities including my capital. For people that don't know what we are talking about:

Rotations is the spot marked "City?"

How the land looked later:

I think you've played a pretty good game, I'm pretty sure you were ahead of me in tech for the most of game until the culture thing happened. :P The problem is that I don't think the map gave you enough land and you were basically isolated. Hope to play against you in the future.

I think that's the only combat between us that you initiated? Maybe you should have attacked out more. wink

I would prefer the rock to bang against the hard place obviously. It might happen as the game is paused for over a day now and I think Mack is waiting to play after Seven. eek

My neighbours Mack and Seven both have 60+ cities, talk about a bad geopolitical position. crazyeye

Thanks for the map btw, it was definitely fun to play on. Although when you reach the modern era, you realize that you can lose half of your empire in 1 turn to amphibious attacks as Grimace recently found out. shades

It's another point in the game where the weak and left behind get weeded out. There can only be one winner, after all.

Seven swapped to Slavery (he's got the Cristo Redendor) and just did 26 whips/drafts. I wouldn't be surprised if Mack comes after me now. frown

Personally I feel perfectly satisfied conceding the game, despite the outcome being in doubt in my estimation. I've accomplished more than I wanted to in this game already. I can alternatively look for a sub if people prefer.

I'm perfectly ok with calling the game. While I think the outcome of the game is certainly in doubt (with myself having basically zero chance), I get not wanting to keep playing because of the massive time investment it takes to play a turn at this stage of the game.

I'm not really interested in keep playing with a sub though, it will probably just end up massively unbalancing the game.

So I guess it's GG?
