It seems really unlikely to me that we won't finish HG in STribes before that missionary could even reach the city. So no need to consider using it there.
At the same time I think Starfall is a bad place for it. Gourmet Menu is more important.

I still don't understand why people are squabbling over minor issues in these suggested deals. Locking down another 50 turns of peace with CFC is enormous; it means we don't have to guard that frontier, and it instantly makes CivPlayers about a hundred times less dangerous. CivPlayers attacking us is not too scary on its own; CivPlayers and CFC attacking together from opposite sides of the map is terrifying. A lengthy NAP with CFC also gives us carte blanche to go attack the Germans later and absorb another vast stretch of land. A successful war will take us from roughly 20 cities up to 25-30 cities, making us the clear game runaway civ. It will be almost impossible for anyone to stop us then.
In return, CFC wants spices and stone. We have three spices and we'll soon have two stone resources. Why is this a problem? Who cares! So what if they get a bit more out of the actual terms of the deal than we do. We're the ones sitting on top of the scoreboard, leading every Demos category by huge amounts. We can afford to be generous. We want to sign these kind of deals, the ones where the other guy "thinks" they put one over on us... and then 70 turns later we're so far ahead that they realize they've signed away the game to us. Doesn't everyone remember how the other teams all got played by Parkin in Pitboss #4? We have a golden opportunity to do that right now - don't get caught up in trivial details! Who cares if they get +1 happy resource over on us; we have more than enough happy resources already, plus ivory coming online soon, plus more happiness as we build markets and forges later. As long as they're willing to lend us marble at some date in the future for our Heroic/National Epic builds, this deal is nothing less than fantastic for us.
By the way, this whole discussion (mixing up responses to CFC and WPC) was extremely confusing to follow. Perhaps everyone could make it more clear which message they are talking about?

I agree with Sullla and Scooter. This is the time to be "generous".
Just make sure that unit gifting and letting others attack through your territory are verboten. And maybe try for longer than T175?
If you know what I mean.

I'm 100% in agreement with Sullla. Take the wines which we can always broker and ask for their spare incense instead once they connect it. Looks like they will have three right?

A lot of you misread the deal like I did. They are not offering to give us their wine later for our current spice. They will trade us the wine for another luxury resource later on. Thus it is of next to no value to us, brokering or otherwise.

I'm not misreading the deal - I don't care if they ever give us another happy resource. I'd like to have access to their marble, but I'd give that up as well if they really insisted. Paying an excess spice and an excess stone for 75 turns of peace is a fabulous deal for our side if we get absolutely nothing else out of it.

well, if this deal is so great because it gives us 75t of peace - lets at least negotiate a little - do you think we can get NAP until t200?

WPC email; Why are we going into details so soon? Do we care if they take peace with Germany before us? Actually, I would like them to take peace, so we can justify our invasion of WPC. If we want to attack them after Germans, we should not be too eager to discuss details of war. Also, we would not sharing spoils of war evenly. We should stall this as long as possible...
UnivCIV: We should send an email for Right passage for our scout. I think we waited enough time and it looks like they are not interested in paying any gpt. Spice for Open borders and letting our scout go east through their lands...

CFC deal - Yep, my opinion is basically the same as Sullla's here. The only thing we cannot do is give them our only stone when HG + GW projects are going on, but other than that, who cares if it's one-sided. Both us and CFC knows we are top dog here, so in reality, we benefit more from the NAP portion of the deal. This deal completely unties our hands, and we'd be crazy to put it at risk with unnecessary haggling. So we press slightly (and nicely) on the stone thing, suggest the marble thing, but otherwise we go for it.
On WPC - we already have an understanding that both sides have an "out" if another war comes up - read their last message to us. The "must agree to peace together" thing just seems like a prudent idea. I remember past games here where a 2v1 happened, and the defender used a shady peace deal with one of the attackers to screw the other one. I don't want that happening to us.
Also, we cannot give UCiv Spice. That's going to CFC. UCiv missed their chance, sucks for them. Our close neighbor who we have a working relationship with gets dibs over UCiv.
