Well then we might as well keep our units. I guess we could still get tons of cities out using our Imp trait. Then I want us to get into full war mode.
[Spoilers] Adrien and Mardoc relax and play civ

Yeah, that's more or less what I'm thinking. Fill out the land, making sure to get horses and copper and culture - then see if we can't repossess. With a little interest

All right, made the offer and finished the turn.
Good news is, it's a lesson I won't forget....I guess...

Well, no peace. Sent Jowy a PM to ask if he saw it and rejected it, or if the game bugged. Not going to play until I hear that response.
He's only advanced with one Vulture, which I don't understand either way. Well, it might make sense if he refused the offer to look around, decided to gather some XP and reoffer, and it bugged on the second offer. He did take Diplodocus, no casualties. Which means the RNG hates us anyway.

Also, I will be starting a new job that involves a lot of travel, so I'm going to need to pass the baton back to you pretty soon.

The trend of this thread is becoming "what the hell, this makes no sense". If Jowy proposed the peace-for-two-cities deal to know if we were desperate so he can now act upon it I'm calling this a breach of "don't be a jerk".
I was planning on asking you to hand me the baby (or part of it anyway) so I have absolutely no problem in taking the lead as soon as you start your new job. If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Even if he didn't mean it that way but eventually decided to use it in that way I'm not gonna let that stand.

Didn't you guys reject the offer to whip the city? That's haggling. When you haggle you're both changing the terms of the deal as well as risking that the other player changes their mind. Jowy Wrote:Mardoc Wrote:Jowy, Quote:Didn't you guys reject the offer to whip the city?Well, no, not really - rejected the offer to look around and talk about it. The main cause of the decision was seeing the combat results and incoming extra Vultures. Whipping the city was just part of playing the turn - double move rules mean there's no way to put in 'whip the city only if we keep it'. Or, for that matter, 'don't whip the city if you still want the deal'. But really, this is simply the result of the RNG being his friend. If he lost 2-3 Vultures taking Diplodocus, he would have been happy to take the deal. Unless, of course, this was Adrien's theory of psychological probing/warfare. Which also seems possible, of course. I could see Lord Parkin doing exactly that. I'm already pretty distracted by the job stuff, even if I haven't officially started.
