I have an assload of knights, which i really wish were at least Cuirs... and i have a fair amount of cannons to back them up. Im slowly advancing on another Ipecac city. Im being extremely cautious as he has a whopping 30+ cats in his stack. He only has maybe 20 hitters, but if he smashes my stack with every single cat... im doubful even my 50+ knights and 20 rifles will fare all that well. So im burning some of his roads so he cant swing around me, or attack and retreat in the same turn. ive also decided to turn tech back on and in like 20 turns ill have railroad. YeeeeeHaww. #2 in power though.. and if i cant take Ipecac's next city ill likely cause this game to go into JR4 wins mode, when i go and take a fair chunk of Wetbandits India lands. Im hoping to at least make top 3 b4 this game ends. However if i cant catch ipecac's army and proceed to eat a half dozen cities i wont have the power to threaten JR4, nor the tech. Im behind 5+ techs on the leaders, and they are teching at 2-5x as fast as i am. My only advantages are sheer willpower, a semi-competitive power and land %, and the fact that i can whip everything to the ground and still be in 4th.

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

turn 211-
I dont see this game going on much longer one way or another. Either we all concede to JR4, or a dogpile on JR4 happens. Also due to my really shit tech rate, im running into the brickwall of ipecac. He has refused to fight on the battlefield but im pretty sure if i try and move out from the city now, he will pounce he has at least 50 cats, and has 40+ cuirs, 40+ muskets. I still have Knight tech, and im only bringing to the field 25 cannons, 13 cats, 50 knights, and about 20 rifles. Ive got a reserve of cannons building for if wetbandit comes crashing in. otherwise im attempting to tech to railroad and then try and catch back up in military after that. I figure with railroad ill be able to keep my far-flung empire defended, and ill have MG's which defend nicely for a long ass time.
That all being said, if there is a consensus between Wetbandit/Hitru(darksavant) to call the game, im fine with conceding to JR4 with a very well done game. Otherwise im playing for a medal. I want a top 3 finish. If Ipecac falls soon enough, im thinking about running into someone for land. Likely Dark savant, as i kinda need Wetbandit to keep JR4 in "somewhat" check.

If you hadn't done already, you should post your bug in the RtR forum. Otherwise he might not notice.

I kinda feel that Dark Savant becoming busy basically throws all of Ipecac's units my way. Plus it seems a bit coincidental that right after DS lost alot of units he becomes busy with RL..
Wetbandit is carving up some of the islands he shares with Ipecac, further driving Ipecac's forces into areas i wanna take.. Im right behind JR4 in power, with Wetbandit/Hitru/ipecac a fair chunk behind. Im thinking i need to run a couple turns on wealth to get to railroad/cavs or something.. Wetbandit still has alot of units basically trapped in former Mali lands trying to keep JR4 pinned down as well.. Although im assuming since both WB, and JR4 have infantry now/soon that they will be coming around and carving up those of us without infantry..
Predictions-
JR4 joins in attacking his side of Ipecac, and carves him up quickly.
Ipecac goes out with a bang, by slamming into me with everything.
Wetbandit keeps a 2nd place locked down by being just enough of a threat, but also teching at a good pace.
Hitru/DS are next on the chopping block if this game doesnt end before then.
I try and wiggle my way into at least 3rd place before the game is called.

WB has a decent little stack in india lands looking at all my lightly defended cities, so i have a stack of 20 cannons sitting there as well. I cant really make anymore gains towards ipecac till his main stack is destroyed.. and his policy of retreating once i get to a city has paid off for him, as he is now only defending his cap+ core from me/hitru so now he has 80+ units, half of it siege, that can smash whatever i bring in short of infantry. And i wont have infantry for a long ass time. Im taking 1 turn of wealth before taking 10ish turns towards railroad. Once i get railroad... i shouldnt die this game. Once i get railroad, a small stack of MG's in the main stack should allow me to march forward. ( thinking about 10 or so ) All this depends on if JR4 hits Ipecac, if WB doesnt hit me, and if Hitru/DS does Anything to persuade me to not take the coastal cities near me.

I continue to amass a potential counter-wetbandit stack/ a new mini stack to start taking more ipecac land. Its currently upto 30 cannons, and 6 rifles. building wealth one more turn before turning on research for Railroad for the nice MG's. Forgot to mention JR4 started yet another GA a couple turns ago which goes to show how shitty ive been with my great people/GP production this game.

Prepping for taking the cap+ outlaying cities of ipecac, not engaging till either MG's, or JR4 draws his main stack away. I am not running into 40 cats+ cuirs if i can help it.
