Pitboss 18 Lurker Thread of Infinite Wisdom

Lurker capital is actually size 5, and currently #34 in crop yield (11 vs rival worst of 16). Also I realised we didn't start with Engineering or Construction - instead it looks like someone edited the city to add all espionage-producing buildings (e.g. we have both Castle and Citadel).
Parkin,
If players are paying attention to that event log, the only impact to the game is that they know that event is active in this game and they should absolutely definitely build a castle at the first opportunity for the chance of getting a free general. Also, Coimbra was listed "liberate" in the diplo screen, so I guess AT took that as an invitation. Dtay is quietly running a heck of an early game. If not for a thorny Krovice growing in his front yard, I'd say he's the favorite at this point.

The one big gap in his game is not pouncing on the absurd landgrab that he himself documented. Taking out 'a neighbor' either means Krovice directly, or taking out Whosit and leaving a strung out empire wrapped around the thorn bush.
Turn 67
The barbarians pillaged Bacchus' cow pasture. What's he doing? That Warrior approached from the NW, so he must have had at least 3 turns of warning in advance. Looks like HAK's now pillaging Jowy. Hmm, that's a pretty small island they both landed on... Dhal's is bigger than that and he got it to himself. Bad luck I guess. Two war declarations this turn. AutomatedTeller declared on Molach, and it looks like Molach is in trouble. Cyneheard also declared war on Pindicator. I couldn't tell if this was a "real" war or just some diplomatic thing, as I can't see any damaged units or even adjacent ones. Poor guy, he'd been through hell and back to avoid the big bully out west but in the end it was sniped from a spear in the southwest. There will be a reckoning but not quite yet. Right now I have to figure out how to survive being in the middle of a shit sandwich. (Mapmakers, next time you want the people on an island, make them equidistant from each other.)
Oh and regarding this:
