I can set up a tracker if everyone posts their emails.

How do you do that? I might like one for another game.

1. Create a new gmail account. (Don't use it for anything else.) I also suggest making the password public so that other people can log into it if necessary.
2. Go to settings, and then the tab for "Forwarding and POP/IMAP."
3. Use "add a forwarding address" to add the email address for everyone who is participating in the game. (Including yourself)
4. Each person you add will receive an email asking if they want to confirm forwarding permission. You need to wait for everyone to do this.
5. Once everyone has confirmed forwarding, go back to the settings menu and then the tab for "Filters."
6. Add a filter for each person that forwards anything they send to the next person in the turn order. What this means is that everyone will send their "next person" saves directly to the tracker.
7. Once all this is set up and working properly, there's some html stuff to do if we want a convenient webpage. Novice usually handles this on Mist's site.

Sorry guys, I discovered a minor error, and we'll have to restart the game after Bob fixes it. Tasunke and Saruman, please redo your turns exactly the same as before, but you'll have to delete or rename the old "next turn" save before ending turn.

To clarify, some people started with an extra tech, due to my forgetting to remove Monarch bonuses from the AI. I also resolved an issue of two teams having contact which I discovered in the processing of fixing techs.


A corrected save has been emailed to Tasunke. Let me know if there are any other issues.

The only restriction I prefer is that we are only able to send messages when it is our turn. This has a few major benefits:

• It limits the pace of conversations to the turn pace, instead of the other way around. This means that turns don't get held up while people wait for replies.
• It also means that we can avoid spending hours and hours talking in circles with each other in chat.
• Ultimatums can exist, as well as "take it or leave it" offers.
• It helps to keep stuff in context and less personal.

Also, I'm all for one message per turn, on your turn only.

Because it forwards everything from those addresses to another. If say, I used my address then everything from Kragroth (for example) would go to you, inundating you with spam for future games/duels/whatever.

That's why it's best to compartmentalize things.

Fairly sure u have to email it to the tracker before it gets forwarded, so no real spam concern
