LOLNO!! Too embarrassing on my part I think - still need some more practice before I get good!
Seriously though, thanks guys for a fun and educational game. Maybe we could have a 'game-night' once a week if we get some numbers?
Play again soon!

Agreed. I need WAYY more practice. Looking back, I needed to cut some of the forests, that could speed up Stonehenge/Pyramids ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) . I should have adopted HR, instead of Police State ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) , etc..
The game was loads of fun though. I would gladdly play a game like this again.

Speaker - thx for setting that up. It really reminded me why I don't like the MP nature of civ4 ... I just hated having you kill my units while I couldn't watch (stupid cycle units). Or when I capture your workers and I'm not fast enough to delete them. Guess you were using them as sucker bait hoping that I wouldn't be fast enough.
The best part was when I had 3 imps under the Pretorians ... the Pretorians moved, I moved and then you moved your 3 axes at where my imps were - that was funny (looking back on it, that isn't much of a highlight). I tried the sentry net - even got a chariot with the sentry promotion on a hill(!) but I stupidly sent him forward and sunrise or you killed him.
Re sentry nets - ever use spies to sit on neutral hills? That way the opponents think you are in the dark when you aren't. Or are spies not allowed in MP games?
And please don't ask me why we were building some silly wonders.
Anyway - it was fun and thanks for setting that up.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Re: Axes attacking out to try and kill Impis - I noticed the turn before that the Zulu movement and the Roman movement wasn't perfectly synced. When I next saw an opening I took a calculated risk, but was too slow. The real question in circumstances like that is whether you risk loosing the city if you miss, and I knew with Native reinforcements coming into the city the next turn I could afford the gamble.
Re: Spy-based sentry net - There are a couple issues. 1) Spies come later in the game so you will probably want a sentry net before that point. 2) Spies are expensive and probably better used inside enemy territory. 3) Spies don't deny a tile to the enemy, so they allow a sentry net that works both ways.

Ruff, it sounds like you just need to get used to the environment a little, and optimize your settings for MP. I'll make a picture tutorial on how you should be set up, which should mitigate your issues a good amount. And yes, I was using my workers as bait for your Impis.
As an aside, could someone please direct me to where the RB cool kids hang out on Gchat?
