Yeah, I never patched anything as far as I'm aware, but the game says it's at 1.8.0, should I be at the right point just by having complete edition?

I should (really) have time tomorrow, so as long as we don't start in medias res I'd be happy to take the first turnset. With general guidance, of course.

Just tossing it out there, but I'm pretty new at this game, so instructions are always valued, otherwise I may make this game a bit harder then Zed intended it to be...

Edit: I also may be missing something obvious, but where do you put the save games to load them? I can't find for the life of me the right folder, even though I can find the main SOTS folder.

I'm betting you're on Windows 7, and hence having the same problem I did. It's a security choice by Windows, and results in this:

If you're running under Vista or Windows 7, and Sword of the Stars is installed inside a protected directory like C:\Program Files, you'll probably have to look in your VirtualStore. By default, this is located at:

C:\Users\{Your User Name Here}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore

The AppData directory is hidden, so you'll either need to navigate directory to the VirtualStore directory, or set Explorer to show hidden files and directories.
