Oh wow... I don't play on fully wrapped maps much. This is a headache to look at. The Map script wasn't made for this and i'd sugguest just mixing up the edges of the map a little. It has a jump from desert to jungle along one edge that's quite jarring.
With this open land i'd encourage keeping the peaks and maybe even adding some more to create some defensible points.

Due to the map;- There is an abundance of rice resources, 3-5 wheats and no corn.
- There is loads of pigs, 2-3 Cows and no sheep
- Only 2 Incense resources, Which are in the main desert. Adding one to the small desert in the SE and one to the, to be expanded, desert in the NW would allow more players to own them while still making them scarce enough to fight over
- Only 2 Remnents resouurces, which are around the central areas. Another Strategic late game resource
- No sea resources, is this an issue?
- No wine resources, An issue?
- Only 1 Marble resource in the main desert, A builder issue but one worth fighting over? increase to 3?
Unique Resources/Improvements on Map- Guardian of Pristin Pass
- Pool of Tears
Just for fun, try putting the "Ancient Skeleton" from the Improvements map menu above the Pool of tears! That counds as minimal editing right?

The Pool of Tears is itself an improvement, so you probably can't put another improvement on top of it.

I meant one tile above But i wouldn't be surprised if this improvement would work. The ancient Skeleton is a HUGE skeleton 10 or so tiles long :neenernee

Yeah, there are a lot of "missing" resources but the players might be expecting that if they've checked out the map script and it's only supposed to be lightly edited. I wouldn't worry about corn not being present etc.
I'd just give everyone 1 commerce special of comparable value and check that maintenance costs aren't going to be too high (since there aren't easily available luxuries to expand to)

I'm not too worried about missing resources and maintenance.
Regarding the resources, the players asked for a rainforest map, so I hope they know what they are going to get. I can add a few more incenses/reagents, though. Ah, there's a corn resource in the map, IIRC, and I wasn't the one who added it.
Regarding maintenance, again, they wanted immortal difficulty, for whatever reason. The inspiration adepts also means faster research. But even if I wanted to lower the maintenance, what could I do about it? Is there a way to change other than generate another map, maybe without toroidal wrap?
I really like the toroidal map and I think it worked very well in FFH PBEM II, but I could change it, if you guys think is better.

FFH PBEM II had a toroidal map?! I thought it was just wrapped at the y axis. This one is wrapped on both x&y axis and my brain melts a little trying to imagine a planet that could wrap like that (a sphere can't wrap properly on a rectanuglar surface. not with corners.)
But it will be fun. It gives a very big DANGER sense that no direction is safe. No sea border, no cold north border and only a small mountain border. Nothing safe. NAPs will be worth their gold here.
But yeah They did ask for this map... and if there is a corn resource snuck in lucky to whoever starts near that. So just add in 1 incense, regent & marble for resources and call it a day.
Then just double check the starts are balanced.
Then do one last ponder about whether to add/convert/delete floodplains & Mountains

A toroidal wrap is not really much different than a rectangular wrap if we're thinking about the projection. You can't wrap a sphere with a rectangle either. Either wrap will require some tiles to represent surface areas different in size than others.
But yeah, PBEM II was a rectangular wrap. I do think the toroidal wrap is fine and that most of the time it is preferable to a rectangular wrap when there are more than three teams in the game.

about the FFH PBEM II Toroidal thing...
Anyway, I look forward to the feeling of "no direction is safe" in this game. Since the players will have free hawks from the get go (most of them will), at least they'll have time to prepare against attacks. And we are talking about a CTON game, most likely with a lot of wars, so it would be unfair to have a civ start in a protected corner while others start in the middle with a lot of neighboors.
I'll add a reagent resource to each player's capital BFC (and a wine resource too, since there aren't wines in the map -> raise happy cap and give some commerce on the way to BW) because this is an arcane game and I don't want anyone without it. So, we'll have reagents/horses/copper avaiable to everyone and Iron/Mithril/Gunpowder as rarer resources.
I won't have time to post a new version today, so expect it tomorrow. The deadline I'm trying to manage is friday.

Should I add the Letuum Frigus on the map? Or it's better if Ice mana is only avaiable to the ones who picked it in the starting adept?
