Yeah.

If it's an exhibition match as Krill suggests, then let each assess the competitive field and select their own top combo (duplicates allowed of course), then play on a mirrored map.

Nay! Variation, my good man. Give Krill someone he's not played, likewise each one of us (Mackoti repeats Pericles again, naturally), hash out the balance from there.

Kind of what Krill said, but I think 8-9 combos can be found reasonably balanced with one another. It's the derivation of them that's the sticky bit.

Of course, we're all gentlemen of taste and refinement, are we not? If balanced combinations are the goal, why we could dispense with the messy grabbing chaos of a snake pick and instead come to a list amongst ourselves while sipping cognac.

Well that's fine in theory, but keep in mind a.) the lurker response to PB30, b.) Toroidal wrap (Krill is in this game) w/ BTS maintenance...

What are standard bans now though?

Right, that's why I was thinking 8 players. 6 in a pinch but I doubt that'll be needed.

Standard bans...WE always (Khmer's BE excepted at times), usually some mix of Corps, spies, SoZ and GLH.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I'm out -

1) I feel kind of "done" with civ after the last couple of games (in a good way).
2) I definitely don't have time currently - started a new job since the last time I was playing MP civ and it's a big, big difference. I'm struggling enough to do the things that are already on my plate. ^^

Too bad since I would enjoy playing with you all, but that's how it is (for sure).
