Pretty quiet turn set. Started drafting drafting muskets and whipping barracks (for the happiness). Sold some backwards techs to AIs and picked up Engineering off Augustus in exchange for Education. Also succeeded at begging a corn off Isabella, which was nice. Got an event that gave us an academy in the capital in exchange for 2 unhappy faces. Seemed worth it so I took it. Finished the turn having to deny yet another AP resolution to give our city back to Hammurabi. Finally, got open borders with Hammurabi and used that to scout him Most cities of his are defended by only 3-4 defenders, so I'm not actually sure how much more of a buildup we would need to do at this point.
Aside from deciding just how hard we want to draft out cities (any double drafting will more or less immediately give us three unhappy faces), we should also figure out research targets. I went for guilds since we were quite close to it and it gives us a mounted unit we can actually build. After that though, where should we go next? I think probably steel personally--we're only two techs away and cannons would be great for rolling over these AI. Any other thoughts?

Yeah, although we may need to just make do with cannons and muskets--rifling is pretty far away at this point.
i really just need to drop out of this, I've stalled it way too many times sorry guys. Molach, can you take over from Shoots save? I'll watch with interest .
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
