whipped some forges around the place for the +2 happiness with the gold. also finished up some courthouses. still building some military and researching towards guilds then literature.

Joao gave us gems for silk! So that's another 2 happyface in every city with a forge. I finished literature and started us on Heroic Epic in Shakuras aided by a couple of third ring chops.
Our power is steady at around 100k below Shaka, who is tied for 1st with Joao in power. Ours is #4 but right near Toku's power, who is busy fighting Saladin (and winning). Shakuras and Aiur will get stables next and then start on Knights. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
Shaka's power took a small dip for no reason that I could see. Perhaps he suicided some old trash against the barb city in his borders? We're up to turn 308, several turns past the peace treaty expiration, we're nearly at gunpowder and Heroic Epic is done in Shakuras, with Moai nearly done in Korhal. We haven't been attacked yet, and if he gives me 5 more turns to finish this infrastructure the production advantage will give us total security.

up to turn 314, no aggression yet. Shakuras is pumping out 3 turn knights with 9xp. Our power is up to number 2 just slightly behind Shaka, as Joao's is falling during his war with Ragnar.
I still haven't seen anything scarier than horse archers/elephants out of Shaka, and our knight army is starting to take shape. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
done. I played up until t320.
We are the dominant military power in the world at number 1. Shaka is right behind us, but lacks in tech compared to us, having shown me no knights or muskets yet, while we can field both. The north and south armies have a few knights each, Shakuras is pumping them out at 1 every 3 turns with 9 xp. Korhal has finished Moai and is building a stable getting ready to join the Knight manufacturing process. The Forbidden Palace is due to finish in Amsterdam. I founded two new filler cities, one near the silks and one on the coast near Shakuras. We are in a phony war with Toku to keep Saladin happy. Saladin is losing but we cannot spare any units to help him unless we want to leave our eastern front exposed. Our GNP isn't great but the FP and our two new commerce cities should help that. Brian do you want to take the save? I guess we can pretty much abandon any pretense of organisation in this SG, given that Great General Tasunke just played 40 odd turns and I played another 30. Play 20, if you like, or more if you want to accomplish more.

Why are you building your Forbidden Palace so close to your capital?
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)

I couldn't find anywhere else that had the shields to do it but wasn't tied up producing military to keep us safe.
if Brian can find a good spot or sneak it into one of our eastern cities, that would of course be superior mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
We can always wait to build the FP in SHaka's former Capital >: )
I agree that Brian should play the next turn set (if he wants to). Starting from this point forward, what if we did (Brian -> BaII -> Tasunke -> Dhalpir) as our turn order? We could even go back to 20 turns each if we wanted to ... but no reason that anyone can't play more turns (or less turns) as your own situation, and the national situation, dictates. |
