Horseshoe and bow were too good not to pair, and the reason I picked Scythians over Mongols is exactly for them being less centrally located in Eurasia.

My expectation was that after guessing horseshoe and bow you would pass as we were two words ahead and there was no clear third candidate word. Commodore got the connection I had on mind in one -- composite _bows_ with horse archery already being the clue's primary topic. But Commodore is circumspect where Seven is pushy

Edit: Had no idea about the band, but then there is a band for pretty much any word these days.

I'm used to a strategy of the clue giver assuming that related words will be guessed. The idea that you would expect people there not to guess is foreign to me - I only expect that to happen in uncommon cases at the guessers' discretion. If there are a lot of possible candidate words to guess I therefore expect that we need to get started on them ASAP because they're mostly neutral. It's a difference of style and I can see the value of people always only guessing the super solid ones and waiting for a final clue at the end to tie the remaining unguessed ones together, too.

I was totally in favor of guessing horn too you know, although it turns out I was overestimating how good an answer it was since I didn't know much about them. The problem is that among the other good answers were a blue and black word. I mean, we even waited to guess an extra round so you could clue the word again and you declined (and the lack of clue is the reason we guessed the last word we'd talked about) - so I'm really not a fan of you pointing fingers about it.

Yeah, I couldn't come up with a word that links Berry with Horn, so decided to clue the word which hasn't been clued, that was the biggest problem at the end of the day.

I say 'horn' and 'berry' left and immediately thought of 'Smashing 2', but i dont think anyone else here would have gotten that....
