Were you sent here by the opposing alliance in some fiendish plan to annoy us so much that we make some enormous tactical blunder? Well, much like the Giant Wooden Rabbit that Sir Launcelot, Galahad, and Bedemir failed to "leap out of," it won't work.

Wouldn't do for the game admin to be completely impartial, now, would it?

EDIT: I overthought things, and am 99% sure that what I said was wrong, given the current wars.

If athlete wishes it, he can claim the 2nd half of the turn against you...splitting the turn three ways, with it being you, him, slaze. And athlete should have some unmoved units in your theater that he'll want to move. [No, that's not based on spoiler info: Reaction forces are clearly part of your defenses, and if they're part of his, he can do the same.] Not if we move at the end of the turn timer, like Sullla said.

Yes, we need to see your lightning in a bottle and earthquake in a can.
Civilization IV sure runs like a dream on my new computer.

Does this constitute a bottle or a can?
There are 60 units on the staging tile there: 18 muskets, 16 cuirassiers, 16 catapults, 9 maces... and 1 horse archer. Watch out Kathlete, it's the horse archer that's going to make the difference!
Speaker and I talked about different attack options, and we decided to use catapults to hit both Bothawui and Corulag (since both cities have 40% cultural defenses on hills). We'll send most of the stack NE towards Bothawui, but divert about 4 cats to drop the defenses at Corulag, along with some muskets for garrison purposes. In other words, the current plan is to take Cloud City on the first turn (there are no defenders inside!) and then Bothawui/Corulag on the second turn. This may still change depending on where Kathlete moves their units next turn.
Dagobah is also eerily empty, and it's actually been getting whipped down in size during recent turns. A couple possibilities:
- It's a trap! (Insert Admiral Akbar picture here.)
- Kathlete doesn't realize we can see into his city with our Sentry horse archer.
- Smells like cheese: Kathlete plans to gift this city to Nakor if we attack.
My guess would be the third option, but really, who knows. Hopefully we'll have this city before Kathlete even realizes what's going on. I've signposted the workers for easy reference next turn. Thought it would be a good idea to split them up, and help conceal what we have planned. It sure doesn't look like our cuirassiers (on the "B Workers" tile) are going to be inside Dagobah next turn!
We unloaded the Sentry horse archer on the western island, and loaded up 3 cuirassiers + 1 musket for our attack. Kathlete still had the one single longbow inside Alderaan when he ended his turn (and can't move units, per his war with slaze) so he's got exactly one turn to get additional defenders in there or it's toast. We don't really understand his moves over here - we saw a janissary walking around on this island, why isn't it inside Alderaan? Weird.
That's all we can do in preparations until next turn. Just have to wait and see what Kathlete does on his half of Turn 206, then make any final adjustments and launch the attack. Techwise, we are 4 turns from Rifling, going through the Renaissance techs at a 3-turn pace each. (That's quite good at this stage of the game.) We're keeping pace with Nakor, as he's doing the same thing, but it bears pointing out that he's in a Golden Age and we're not.
I have some more stuff to post on Nakor, but I'll put that in a separate post below this one.

The Horse Archer is a medic II.
Also note that we have 16 catapults, or a hair under 1/3 of our total force. When building an attack force, don't skimp on the siege!

I'm confused - isn't 1/3 already skimpy?
