Capria Crusadin' Crew - Bannor

Kill team went somewhere else, but the annoying goblin decided to walk on the copper hill messing up production and the worker job. Decided to kill the bugger and suffer one turn of no military unhappiness. Kill team went somewhere else, so it's back to building workers.

CoL in. Currency due in 10. Warrior built. City 4 due t100. Settler 5 due in 5. Prophet due in something like 22, no longer forever, just ages away.

Since we're no longer building anything hammer heavy in capital I think we need to do aristocracy after all. These 4 farms feed through academy will be worth it.

That was an interesting chat. Yeah I noticed the mackoti GNP, it's gone up a lot recently. I still don't see why he'd bother building the GLib, must be the BTS slant.

If you want to adopt Aristocracy for 10-20 turns while we're not growing in the capital anyway, that makes sense. But I think we should swap out sometime because those plains farms in the other cities are going to suck under Aristocracy. Although we can't actually switch for another 5 turns...should've waited on the Pacifism. duh

Oh and I'm claiming all the credit for us founding RoK. lol wink

Oh and we can't actually work all four farms in the capital (while working two priests) unless we don't work the copper, which sounds like a silly thing to do...

And is Yellow going to attack Sareln or what? His power has been going up for nearly 20 turns.
Reply

Mr. Yellow is going after Mack, 12 horses apparently, borderline enough to do some serious damage if he's smart about it.

Settling party in place, founding 4th city on t100. Slooow. lol
Capital back to orderly ways, worker in 3 turns. I have a worker there to chop and cottage former jungle.
Kill team reappeared, clearly heading for DoF, I have 2 warriors that will make it there in time and 3rd one should be produced on site by then.
There's a stupid goblin messing about around DR, I had to move out a warrior to cover worker building road on the sheep. Fortunately we're still under happy cap.

Apart from that, whole world follows RoK, and the bloody prophet takes forever to get complete banghead

We can grow to 10 in the capital when we get gold in the new city hooked up. That might be difficult though since either we need to defog the river north of it and connect to that (although we'd need Fishing...), or we build a road between it and DoF. Once we're at 10 we can work all four farms and maybe swap to Aristocracy then. That'll also give time for the other cities to grow close to their happy caps before their farms start sucking (I seriously hate 3 food farms).

So, t100, let's have a look at the carnage.

I. Cities

Overview
[Image: t100_city_overview0000.JPG]
Merry Tune
[Image: t100_MerryTune0000.JPG]
The capital is excellent, 48 beakers while under size 10, not in aristocracy and working two priests is massive. It's safe to say that at this point it's carrying my game.
Dream, Realised
[Image: t100_DreamRealised0000.JPG]
Pretty good, at happy cap will breach 20hpt.
Dream of Freedom
[Image: t100_DreamOfFreedom0000.JPG]
For a long while it was a blot on the map, but with two sanitation farms it's finally getting respectable.
Castle of Joy
[Image: t100_CastleOfJoy0000.JPG]
Most recent addition, needs 2 more turns to pop borders and get some food in range. Long term Gate location.

II. Finances

Unremarkable, I did not have to drop the slider from 100% yet.

III. Civics

God King - Pacifism - Apprenticeship - Agrarianism

IV. Foreign Relations

Managed to secure Hippus as a game-long ally. Orcs are mistrustful, but can't really focus on me because there's a vampire in the room, and it's running away with silverware. I'm teching Currency to adhere to financial obligations resulting from the Hippus deal and are due to stump up between 200 and 300 gold once that happens. Haven't met anyone else, nor am I actively looking to.

V. Military

Token. 7 bronze warriors, enough as basic military police and to handle kill teams. Vast amount of space separating me from everyone else and friendly Hippus mean I don't really need more.

VI. Tech

I have : Agriculture ( 83 ), Calendar ( 166 ), Festivals ( 187 ), Drama ( 627 ), Animal Husbandry ( 187 ), Exploration ( 83 ), Crafting ( 125 ), Mining ( 209 ), Bronze Working ( 418 ), Sanitation ( 668 ), Ancient Chants ( 83 ), Education ( 292 ), Code of Laws ( 334 ), Mysticism ( 209 ), Way of the Earthmother ( 418 ), Philosophy ( 313 )

Which gives a grand total of 16 techs and 4402 beakers at a pretty good average. Very short term plans after Currency are Masonry and Construction while trying to grab Bone Palace.

VII. Religion

Founded Runes, which is present in 4 out of 6 civs playing the game. Shrine due in 18 turns.

VIII. Demographics

Suck except for GNP. I'm tied for last place in city count with Mr.Yellow, and that shows in everything else. And yet again I'm shown superiority of horizontal expansion supported by aristofarms over any other approach regardless of the map. That 200+ GNP is Mack at deficit research.

Thanks for the update Mist!

Pretty impressive that you haven't had to drop from 100% yet!

I see you are about to complete another settler - where is that going to be heading?

When do you envisage the gate being completed?

Cheers,
SL

You're welcome wink Good to see someone apart from NH is reading this lol

There are two ways of looking at this -
1) My cashflow rocks
2) My expansion rate sucks
The truth is probably a little bit of both, at the moment I'm 4 cities behind Ravus. Which is partly warrens, but I still need to catch up.

There's a possibly better spot to the west grabbing sugar ( and thus raising happy cap ), but I'd have to wait for warriors to redeploy from barb smashing in the east to get it.

This side of turn 150. I'll try to make it happen in 130ies.

Not so sure we need Construction before Fanaticism...if you don't like the fact that I built a cottage on the river for DR instead of a farm, you could just say so. lol The GA will obviously help us tech Fanaticism a lot faster. I'd say it would let us pop the Prophet faster too, except we'll be done with it by then. We'll get some GE points from the Palace I guess.

And there's a mana node to the southeast of CoJ. One between each pair of players, perhaps?
