Yeah it's quite fun, I finished all the levels now unfortunately.
It's quite reminiscent of digital circuit design. I think that game could be used as a test for finding people with the right mindset to study computer science.
I have to run.

Yeah, it's basically programming. I would recommend getting your kid(s) to play it.

This turn feels complicated & I'm not sure if I got it all sorted out properly.
Serdoa's third city had a border pop for 7 new tiles. He also got a tech, and I'm putting that down as Archery giving him 6k soldiers.
Seven grew his capital to size 6, giving 1k soldiers.
Mackoti grew his second city to size 3, giving 1k soldiers. And I think he got another 4k, as units. I'm tentatively putting that down as 2 more Quechua, and vaguely expecting him to settle a 3rd city soon (his capital hasn't grown in forever, so perhaps was building a Settler?).
Nicolae settled a 3rd city for 3 new land tiles. Both his other cities grew (to size 4 & 3). That gave him 2k soldiers. After you'd killed his WC he was down to 28k, the graphs this turn have him back at 40k. So I have another 10k soliders to find for him. I've tentatively assigned that as 6k to Archery (he got a tech this turn) and 4k to a War Chariot. That might be more plausible as 2 Warriors tho, I'm really not sure.

Picture at the end of turn 40, played earlier today:
Nicolae moved his northern warrior to the forested hill, and he moved his southern war chariot to the corn, presumably to pillage it.
I have four warriors in Beach Ball and two warriors in Backrush.
If you want to see all the details, you can check out the sandbox, which should be up to date now.
I have to run.

Good job surviving the attack (unless Pling is mistaken and there's another 5 war chariots in the fog). How much did you whip to spam those warriors? Do you feel like it set you back significantly? Your pop numbers still look decent compared to your opponents. (Again, assuming Pling knows what she's doing. )
If you know what I mean.

Hard to say how much it set me back, but I have 3 workers for 4 cities, and I have 11 turns of whip unhappiness in Beach Ball, 6 turns in Ice Cream and 5 turns in Sandcastle. And I have no happy resources. Beach Ball got its granary just this turn, and Sandcastle will get one next turn.
I think I had two 1-pop whips of warriors, and I spent a lot of whip overflow on warriors that was originally supposed to go to granaries. I have 8 warriors currently and I've built 12.
What's more I probably should have caved in to the hype and picked organized for this map. I'm currently paying 12gpt in city maintenance, and none of my cities are really commerce oriented yet (I have no cottages).
I guess I'll tech Writing, run some scientists, settle a gems city, and work some cottages. Probably settle a filler city north of Sandcastle sooner rather than later, just so I can run more cottages with my low happy cap. Some random spreads of hinduism would come in handy but the odds of those are quite low, unfortunately.
I have to run.

Congrats on surviving the attack, Novice. Unfortunately, all circumnstances were against you in regards to that.

The more I think about it, I wish I had studied computer science or similar.

I think Nicolae has another War Chariot, looks like a 4k increase in power this turn.
Seven grew his capital to size 7 & his third city to size 2. I think he also built a Warrior.
Serdoa whipped his capital from 4 to 2, and grew one of his other cities from 2 to 3. Imminent 4th city for him?
Mackoti planted a new city (bringing him up to 3 cities) gaining 8 tiles of land. Also his capital grew to size 6.
Assuming I know what I'm doing, anyway

Thanks. Circumstances did conspire against me to some extent (25% odds of settling up on Egypt, copper turning up at an inopportune spot, horses remaining fogged), but then again maybe my opening gambit wasn't so smart to begin with. And when the shit did hit the fan, I got a couple of lucky combat rolls.
Anyway, here are pictures from turn 41, documenting the aforementioned three workers, eight warriors and sucky GNP.
I have to run.
