I don't know yet whether I'll play/team up with OH, but this is a very important subject.
I think every player, who joins this game should be commited to actually playing the turns with at least some thought even after he feels that he has lost the game. Practically gifting your cities away by not whipping defenders or through some other behaviour that just ignores what is happening in the game simply destroys the fun for all the players. Nobody wants to win because a neighbor just stops playing or lose because a competitor gets an empire for free. If one simply refuses to play turns when losing then one should ask for a sub or at least retire to AI. It sounds like this game will have settings that embrace randomness and of course what your neighbors do also adds to that, but I hope that we could this time avoid the most lame events. Even a casual game will take a lot of time and with so many players involved it is important that everyone has somewhat sporting attitude.

I wouldn't play this map with that start. No copper close and horses / iron a fair distance away. Not to mention the crazy flat grassland mine with no resource - what is that about?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Sorry guys but I'm going to have to drop out of this, and won't be playing a game until PB13 is over for me. I don't think I have the emotional reserves for the highs and lows of two games at once here.

Ruff failed the mental stress test.

Eh don't count on me to play. I just woke up this morning and the thought of having to play a civ turn turned my stomach. I'm still too burnt out to do this atm.

I probably should withdraw my signup for the moment. There's no way I'm participating in this before PB13 is over, and that's not going to be soon. Maybe I'll stay unspoiled and eventually sub in when someone inevitably withdraws.

I'll echo scooter, also withdrawing and staying unspoiled.
