Which would be stupid, because as soon as I log in we'll be able to see the tech costs and hence calculate the size of the map from them. I obviously aren't asking for the map script the map was designed from, just whether is was a standard, large or huge map.

So what's the schedule like for a) getting this game or a test game up to see if we can all log in and b) the report forum up for our spoiler threads.

No worries about taking your time - just wondering so that I (and I assume the rest of the players) can arrange my schedule

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Well this message is being typed while my new backup PC (which will host the game) downloads XP SP3. So I'll need an hour or so to get these updates installed and then get Civ installed, and then it's just a matter of getting ports forwarded and a test game up.

Krill, you're welcome to perform whatever calculations you like once the game begins, but I have no plans to disclose the information you requested before the game starts. Sorry, but that's the way I prefer it.

Hmmm wouldnt know how to calculate the map size without doing alot of research. I will have a week out in August when my first grandkid is born so I may need someone to give me a hand then.

I would recommend that people not put any spoilers in the first post of their team threads. The forum shows a tooltip with the first part of the first post when you mouse over the post, so if there aren't any spoilers in the first one it will help avoid accidental spoilage smile
