So, here's where I am at on this game. I don't want to be a jerk but the turn pace has just been so crazy slow. I did a little research and most PBEM games last about 4 months or so. We are currently at 4 months since this game started. I am willing to keep playing turns through the end of August which would take us to six months. In theory, that's at least 50 turns at 1/day which should take us to the point there is a clear winner based on most PBEM games. However, at the rate we are going, that is more likely to be 22 turns or so.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I just can't keep committed to this game indefinitely. It's not good for me or for the quality of this game because my turns don't get the attention they deserve. If you feel like end of August will not be enough time to reach a conclusion, then I will begin to look for a replacement player now so that they aren't jumping in after more turns have passed. If you think end of August will be sufficient, then I can keep playing.

I dislike having to make what feels like an "ultimatum" but as Zak mentioned earlier, this turn pace is not what I signed up for.

I appreciate your frankness and the excellent sportsmanship you've shown, Dazed.

I don't see anything wrong with a replacement player from us rivals' point of view, so if we can find one that is able and willing, by all means let's do that. The game could still be undecided 50 turns from now.
