[SPOILERS] Kurumi & wetbandit serve you Hannibal's Breakfast Cocktail (of Persia)

Picture Dump (phrase): A form of lazy turn reporting.

I think I'll have more time than I thought to play this turn over the weekend, especially considering Molach has asked for a pause or is only able to play one turn.

Tech: We are definitely the first to construction, as far as we know, we are getting jack for bonuses on it. Our gnp skyrockets when I select Poly. After it comes in, we need to save gold and then limp to currency.

Army: Woefully small for the task at hand. I haven't been able to whip much because of all the spears whipped defending against Azza's attack. The build up will be slow, but hopefully cats will let us skimp on other forces.

Cities: Coming along slowly, I have a nice 3-pop whip of a settler ready, but I'm saving it for a Cat whip. I should really just whip the settler and send him off to the island to get development sped up there. We have a reasonable amount of workers now, mostly concentrated in the west to help out Gold city. It kills me that we are at happy cap at 11 with the 'Tail, which has so much food to support vertical growth. I haven't worked the corn in a few turns because there's no point, it's still working off whip unhappy.

Foreign: William declared war on Oxy. I think he's going to get carved up. Azza has a desert army north of his capital which is forcing me to keep more than token units in the west.

Kurumi, take a look in game when you can. The troops are on the border, war will be next turn. Azza is far lower in power than we are. We have 7 axes, 2 spears, 3 imm, and 3 cats ready to go. All the axes are 5xp and 1 cat has 5xp. There is a smaller force of 1 spear, 2 axes, 1 imm, and 1 cat finishing next turn in the north to protect gold and iron cities, and they have pushed up on Azza's newest city founded in the desert.

Honestly, it's too bad his frontline city is his capital. I think a decent argument could be made for demanding that city and then going to take a city or two from Molach, who is teching like a mad man with the most powerful ancient-era unit.

In other news, a settler is on its way to the island where a worker is chopping jungle for the rice.

Sure, I'll look in about 2-3 hours when I'll be doing other PB turns.
Demand the new city? Well, we could surely do that, his capital is on a hill.
Too bad we can't take Azza with us to fight Molach frown
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

The new city is garbage filler. It has first ring Incense and that's it. Not worth a demand and doesn't get us anything. Right now it's a liability for Azza as he has to defend with a significant amount of units if he wants to keep it.

Azza did make a peaceful overture to us, but I don't think it's worth the risk. We would have to defend a "U" shaped bulge with our only metal with him there, plus his territory would be our backlines if we are successful.

Molach has had a monopoly on currency for about 10 turns. yikes We are limping to currency and have to save gold this turn, but we are 4 turns away at full research.

Okay, the way I see it we raze the filler city. I think we must take the capital no matter the cost, then demand another city. After that, we should hit Molach.
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

Sit-Rep for the lurkers:

If someone wants to help a noob figure out how to take an in-game SS that highlights the stack composition, without using paint, I'd appreciate it.

Stack SE of Mad Dog:
7 Axes (all 5xp, one promoted to C1, Shock)
2 Spears
2 Immortals
3 Cats (one 5xp, unpromoted)

Northern Force (in forest 1N of Azzastani Desert City):
1 Imm
2 Axe (both with 5xp but promoted to C1)
1 spear (1N of Axe/Imm detachment)

Hover over the stack (preferably with sign mode so that the tile is highlighted) then take a screenshot...

I'll try it with sign mode to ensure that the tile stays selected, the cursor alone apparently hasn't been good enough.

On testing, even selecting the tile while sign mode is activated is insufficient for the proper tooltip to show.

In other news, I saw this when I logged on, and declined:

Don't click with sign mode. Just hover there with the green box over the stack of units and then take your hand off the mouse before snapping the screenshot.

Also, your stack is SW of Mad Dog (not SE wink)
