No problem, figured you were busy today. And yeah, can't say I was expecting it to widen out THAT much. Crazy Big & Small.

Pace continues to be strong early. Scout sees more jungle and widening land:
Back home: A few teams have now hit sz2 after their worker openings: Commodore is not one of them. Demos: Er, tops in GNP!
NW next with the scout it looks like. Open land over there. Unless you want to take the other side because Commodore likely went west upon seeing that. Of course, following his footsteps decreases chances of running into animals too (or perhaps an animal has already eaten his scout which is why we haven't seen it return

Which one is your thought? Which direction do you prefer?

Ok scout move and:
The weird land continues. Big & Small is certainly delivering in the oddities department. Looks like we can still move around the peak: One possible question is - should we? That looks like flat ground N of the peak, which of course could mean dead scout if a lion/bear are in range. An alternative is to more directly onto the plains hill. If that clearing is surrounded by jungle/forests, we won't have lost any time and we'll have played it safer. Thoughts? Our humble abode is still quiet:
plains hill is probably best - that is going to give us the same sight (over land) as the grass tiles. We just miss out on sight over the water
Yeah I think I agree. Giving up the over-water vision seems like a fair price to move onto the plains hill.
