How any cities do we plan on having settled when HG comes in?
Real question again: Is it really worth it? You're focussing on wonders when you should be focussing on expansion. We're already way behind due to the solid Stonehenge play. But going for more wonders now... I don't know...[/u]

Right now we have 8 (4 each). If THH can quickly get settled another city or two that would be ideal. but I think it is worth it in either case.
with the bumped Pop, I will be able to get workers out nice and quick and him some more settlers. I don't believe we are that far behind in expansion and we will catch up quick with this wonder.

Uh, I didn't take any screenshots this turn, but I played. I named the new cities Juno Beach and Calcar Ridge. With those, especially the first, you should be able to guess at my naming scheme. My password's also a hint.

Old Harry, I put a power graph alongside the demos in the dropbox folder.

Is it a World War 2 theme?????

Yes, partially. I knew Juno Beach would help ...

So by my calculations we should be able to have the HG in 3 turns. Next turn I can 3-pop whip the Aqueduct. The turn after that I can chop 2 forests (total from chops is 105 hammers, if I'm calculating right). Turn after that I can chop 2 more forests, which is enough to complete the HG.
Now the question is, do I do that or do I wait for THH to whip out the settler he's making in Courclette and move it to settle whichever is the closest good next city spot?
Quickest spot would be the one next to the desert NW of me.
Other option could be send it down to THH's Moai city spot and get that one started. It would just take a couple turns longer (4 as opposed to 2).

In preparation of us possibly doing that, THH when you play your turn it might be a good idea to whip that settler this turn (I think you would be able to).

Also, Old Harry, when you get a chance can you re-make the dotmap with the position of my southern city 1 to the east? (you can see the details in the screenshots I had put in the folder last week)

Nice plan. Somewhere northern for the settler?

You beat me to asking....see my edit. smile
And I suppose THH's spot Y could also be an option. Though for that one, he could always see if it's possible for him to get a settler our of VR quick enough for that. When he ends turn, he'll complete a chariot & grow. His next settler should be only 2-3 turns away. But then the city wouldn't get settled for 3 more turns after that. Not sure if we'd want to wait that long.

Smack have Maths and Masonry (same turn you got it) so could be heading to HG - how quick do we think they can do it without IND? I'll look out for a whip that could be the aqueduct... My feeling is that if you can wait until 10+ cities the HG is well worth it.

I think the southern area of the dotmap needs work too - other than the moai city I don't really have a feel for what those cities are for. They can be left alone for a while yet though as we want to expand and claim territory towards the opposition first.
