I am a professional in my early thirties and I own my own home via mortgage.
As much as it pains me to say it, if you put a gun against my head and said "pick one", I think Boris is the less of two evils in a majority government for some one in my position, in terms of financial impact. Corbyn would leave me paying my tuition fees, everyone else's tuition fees, an interest rate rise and tax increases in the next 2 to 10 years once government interest rates rise because of their insane spending promises.
That said, the Tory promised are just as ludicrous but I expect them to renege whereas Corbyn will just destroy the entire UK, IndyRefs and all.
So in my position, I reckon a hung parliament is the best outcome, followed by Tory majority. I'd prefer the Lib Dems pick up 250 seats, but, you know, reality...

Tories situation is degenerating due to scared remain voters ditching lib dems. Lean Troy if Jon Worth's theory about 320 being enough to win is correct and Tossup if not for an overall rating of Tilt Tory win.

Wait and see what the terror attack yesterday shakes loose.
The Home Secretary and the former shadow Home Secretary are bitching at other. Quite entertaining, really.

I'm going to subscribe to Jon Worth's theory about 320 being enough to win: the latest Electoral Maps UK shows a Tory win of 23.

I forgot you times 2 after the subtraction so it's really 46. However, due to Jo Swinson's implosion and many wins being marginal, it's still only tilt tory.

Well, I certainly hope the Tories don't follow through on any of their manifesto, because part of it states a desire to prevent judicial review of the government.

Krill, what did you mean by this?

Without a written constitution, UK can just pass one-page bills to override Courts. This was the case before but Parliment was crippled by independent+DUP rebels. This is just salt over Courts going against UK. However, I would be all for a written constitution which would change this. I'm looking at you making 16 year olds and EU nationals able to vote with only 50%+1.

Paying for the cost of others university tuition through taxes, whilst having sole responsibility for my own tuition fees through previously accrued loans.
I don't have an issue with paying for one or the other, but I think it is fundamentally unfair to have both.

But your taxes already are paying for other's university fees. Billions of pounds in student loans are never getting paid back to the government and will end up being written off anyway.
I'm curious if you would be happier if as well tuition being removed, Labour promised to write of current student loans, even though that would cost even more?

Yeah, that'd be fine IMO, and it would cost me proportionately more because my loans were at 3k compared to the higher 9k rate.
