And, with the new year, we've got a new save. Off and running again!
...well, off and pressing 'enter' .
Gotta remember where we were, exactly. Worker's done at EOT, we'll go hook up the Dyes and Wines next. Meanwhile, we need to grow Mainmast, then start knocking out settlers and escort parties. I seem to recall Sea Haven being a good building to grow on .

This is a real springboard of a start! Just a couple more turns to grow to size 8 then we'll be able to start Mainmast on settler duty for the next 40 turns

Urmph. It's getting late.
Everything looks good, but be careful with the worker micro planning over the next 5-10 turns (ie: DO SOME). It will make a difference.
I need sleep.

Had a quick look at t33.
Minining due in 3t.
Road the Wines, then move the workers (BOTH OF THEM) to the FGH 7-7 of the Wines and road that hill.
Once Mining is in (we'll need 2x Warrior before Settler) mine that FGH. Chop goes into settler at +100% and we get a mine for +1h (x2 when building settlers). Once mine is done (5 worker turns) one worker move to the Dyes and starts a road (CANCEL IT"S ORDERS BEFORE HITTING EOT!!!!!). Then move the other worker to the Dyes tile and finish the road. W#1 can then move to the Grass River tile 1 E of the Wines to start roading/farming for the Expansion City.

Not quite what I did, I put one worker turn into each of Wines and Dyes roads. And started a settler, on the theory that I haven't seen any barbs yet so a new city could build its own garrison. I don't have time tonight to actually think about how to turn that into something more closely resembling a plan - but it's not terribly different in net result from what you're proposing, so tomorrow or at worst Monday I ought to be able to figure out how to salvage it.
Do bear in mind, Ichabod's been nice to us. I would bet there's BFC copper.
On a different note, where do we want to go next Techwise? I think we probably just power up to Bronze Working, actually, so we can afford to run extremely light on garrisons (and hence heavy on settlers). But maybe OO would make sense, or Sailing. Our GNP is double the nearest, so we can afford to be a bit profligate.

Bronze next (if we have copper) isn't a bad idea.
OTOH, heading straight for OO works as well.
We'll be seing the barbs soon....more boots on the ground would be nice to have.

Ok, I see what you meant, now. We can get the same effect by now moving to that FGH, we'll start mining it on the same turn as we otherwise would have, and get our road out to city2 in plenty of time. I don't think there will be any significant effect from my last turn vs. your proposed one.
I did decide to cave to paranoia, we're building another warrior. I suppose we will have to expect, sooner or later, a kill team from the barb city we found. Still - the new city can build mainly warriors while it grows, to leave our capital on foodhammer duty. With 13 excess food, and not a lot of opportunity to consume it for hammers, we'll be throwing away food otherwise. I think I'll put in just enough warriors in the queue for the workers to get the mine and road built, if I can make it work with 1 warrior, that's better.
Oh, and the demos have definitely gotten to the 'awesome' stage:

We just need to transform this into explosive growth and tech rate, and everything will be happiness and light .

Almost! I am strongly tempted to rearrange the dotmap to grab the copper with city1. Suppose we moved it to 1SW of the copper? That would lose the cows, but gain the copper and allow the cotton to hook up early as well.

Wow! That's some impressive looking demos.
I like the city 1 sw of the copper. Food hammers and a happy resource in the first ring plus plenty of river grass tiles to farm for growth and once Eduction is in it can work 4 cottages for the Capital. I like it.
We'll want to rethink our southern dot map, but I think the SW site is our strongest play for city 1. Getting the Cotton on line also lets us work another mine (or the Patured Pigs) in the Capital.

In that case - I think Bronze is going to be the next tech. We don't need AH just yet, and I do like the idea of running very light on warriors. Also that will mean we can expand into the jungle at no particular extra cost.
It's a bit late in the day for me to be dotmapping, but I'll get to that soon. We did sort of anchor the southern half around that city, so you're right that it'll have to change.
