Well, I've searched CFC a bit and found this, after I realized you are on a Mac.

If Davey doesn't have any access to a Civ-capable Windows machine, maybe a substitute turn player would do. Anyone still reading here who's not totally spoiled like me?

I guess the positive assessment of this situation is the Brood War lesson: it's much better to play a game competitively when it is no longer being developed because there will never be new ways for stuff to break.

If Ichabod is right then there is little point I'm afraid, though I do appreciate the offer.

I won't have regular access to a PC for the rest of the summer, so a replacement player will have to be found, as loathe as I am to give up this game frown

Frustrating to say the least.

As far as I understood Aspyrs post this is for a short time around the BNW-release. So if you manage to get a hold on a PC every 3 days or so for the next 1-2 weeks it might be possible for you all to continue.

Of course could well be that the "short time" extents up to several month.

Guys, I'm gone from tomorrow till the 17th and won't have Civ5-access. I had planned to exercise some effort to be able to play Civ5 (the laptop I take with me for Civ4 is not really good enough for Civ5) but as it stands I don't think that is necessary. So, if somehow that bug is resolved before I'm back please wait for me. Thanks smile

I guess we'll have to wait. I wouldn't mind a lurker helping Davy to play the save, as long as Davy gives most of the instructions (good thing about Civ 5 is that there isn't that much units to control) and the lurker tries his best not to influence the decisions with spoiler knowledge.

Though I think that'd be too much of a hassle for us to find someone interested to do it.
