[SPOILERS] Serdoa, Ichabod and Ex-Girlfriends - co-starring NH,Bigger and Lewwyn

Well, our plan isn't going to work. Thanks to a "bug". But I'll start from the beginning:

As you can see we have 24 gold in the bank but still 5 turns for Masonry. We did save gold for the last 2 turns. If I remember the timeline for this game correctly that was the turn before the first outage last weekend. I can't remember that I had changed to 100% gold. Not reason to do it at this point in the game. So I don't know what happened and why, but whatever it was I only realised it this turn...

The only explanation I have is actually that due to settling the new city the research slider was dropped automatically by the game but for whatever reason it changed it to 0% instead of 90%. However, that means that the chopping and everything won't work out as planned. Either I delay everything and have workers sitting around uselessly or... well, there is not much or. I don't see us asking for a reload 2 turns back, as I neither can prove that it was not my fault nor can I deny that I didn't check there for the last 2 turns (I think it should be understandable that I didn't look there when I never changed it though).

So, I'm a little depressed right now.

Well, road in place and delay a turn if there's no better way to do it, I guess.

Hm... it works out luckily for us with Masonry finishing one turn before the chops. I guess I had some leeway in my plan as the road between the cities is yielding 2 more commerce than in my excel-table which I didn't bother to add the 2 commerce in.

Worker finished chopping so that another worker will appear next turn. That worker plus the one 1N of Steffi will both move into their respective forests and start chopping. Capital will produce another settler, we are late with that as is imo.

And on the foreign front:




Still not met anyone, but Gavagai has gotten Buddhism. Seems he has gone relatively early for it, not sure if he had Myst at the start or not though, with 11 other players that's too much for my brain to remember.

I mean the technical issues. lol Moving off the coast was a mistake but I'm sure we'll be fine.

Yeah, it is great. I have played the same turn I did play already yet again. And I think that makes it officially 3 turns in 1 or 1.5 weeks... I regret now not asking for a reload as we obviously had to reload anyhow, so it wouldn't probably matter at this point if we reloaded one more turn back.

But we can still finish Masonry before the chops, right? That's the most important thing, I think. Anyway, I'm not even sure if a reload is possible to previous turns (isn't just the last X number of logins that get stored? Probably 2/3 turns back logins are already gone).

At least it seems we have quite a bit of easily settleable land. I think your overall stronger play than the opposition will end up prevailing, considering we won't lack early game land.

It's annoying that when the game is down we have more and more time to review our past plays and think that we could have done better.
