Great. Thank you! Now we're still 4.5 days in the hole. I talked to Tasunke briefly yesterday before he disappeared again. Perhaps old lion would be willing to sub in for this game.

Yeah, I missed the e-mail this weekend- didn't realize the save had finally come around we had been waiting so long...
I sent it late Sunday night (technically after midnight). Still waiting to receive it again...
Would love to get back to 1 turn/day as well. The save finally coming around again Friday night (at almost midnight, by the way- way too late to expect me to take a turn until at least Saturday night...) caught me completely off guard when I noticed int Sunday...
Regards,
Northstar

Sure, I understand that stuff happens.
In the future, I ask that all players please post something here if they are going to be missing their play window for that night, or especially if they are going to be holding the turn for more than 24 hours. These delays can be somewhat contagious, with the slowness spreading from one player to others.
At Kragoth's request, I've added Old Lion to the tracker forwarding as a backup for Northstar to help out when needed. Everything should be functional for him, except that the tracker website won't update when he sends a save to Tasunke.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again- this is *not* reasonable for those of us who lack smartphones. Usually if I'm going to miss my play window, I won't be able to access the internet to let you guys know until at least the next morning...

Northstar

It's completely understandable that sometimes a person will miss their window, but it's still not fair for the other four players when it happens. They don't know whether to stay awake a bit later or try to wake up early the next morning to keep the game flowing. So it's only right to notify everyone else when you need more time.
I understand you can't do that Northstar, and that's totally fine. That's why Old Lion has been added as a backup for you, so he can play automatically if your play window has passed. It's a compromise solution meant to be fair to both you and everyone else.

I haven't been that far behind in this game, Ellmist. I haven't even been responsible for the *majority* of delay here (time-wise), unlike with some of my other games... I do not need a backup, and Old Lion has not even so much as asked me about my strategic plans or ideas.
I am not going to essentially relinquish control of my games to another player just because I've been scapegoated for every little delay to occur in these PBEM's (never mind that the actual record of turn-forwarding says I am *not* to blame for the majority of delay here...)
Speaking of which, where is the save? I still haven't received it...

Northstar

1. The turn was sent to me while I was sleeping. I will send it your way as soon as I get home.
2. No one wants you to relinquish control of your games.
3. A PBEM game is like a flower that needs constant watering. We started Feb 18th. We should be approaching turn 60. Instead we're on turn 18. This game is wilting. Unless we do something it will die.
4. Old Lion would only play when you fail to play during your window.
5. Your play window is very tight. It butts up against Tasunke and Sauruman and Ellimist very close in time. So some play relief if the window fails is warranted.
6. During the evaluation week where we gave you one last chance you were unable to meet the turn per day rhythm for any of your games and failed to turn the save for ffh41 within 24 hours. If you were unable to meet this during the week that you knew you were being evaluated, I don't have confidence that the situation will change when your track record is not being actively checked.
7. Yes. No one is perfect and delays happen. I have been the cause of delay before as have others. However, the issue before us is your record. And while you dispute it, I hear no one else agreeing with you; in fact the opposite.
8. I told you twice in forum posts and in private messages to send your password and general strategy to old lion for your games and to work with him so that he can properly play when your play window is missed.
9. I am now telling you a third time to send your password and strategy to old lion and to work with him! If you fail to do this by midnight central time tonight, I'm going to ask the community what should be done with you!
10. On a mostly unrelated note. If you want to be a military doctor you should probably continue going to PT, polish your resume, and apply to every job, internship, and research position you can possibly qualify for. Please take care of your career and personal life so that you can have time for fun.
